Very hard to pick... but in my top 10 definately are: "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy (above and beyond!!); the "Matrix" trilogy; most Johnny Depp's films (oh, what an eye-candy and talent!); most of the "Star Trek" movies (including the latest one!), "The Crow" (especially w/Brandon Lee); "Pan's Labyrinth" (incredibly touching); "Constantine", "Sideways" (drained a whole bottle of Merlot by myself watching it for the first time on DVD!:)); "The Perfume" (twitsted :) ); "Nightwatch"; "Seksmisja" "Rejs" "Killer" and "Mis" (all classic Polish comedies!); "Mrs. Henderson Presents" ('the show must go on...'), "The Fifth Element" and many, many more... and (for crying out loud!!) I've just gotten myself into SOME anime!! THE LORD OF THE RINGS (MUSIC VIDEO)Television
Don't watch it very often... But I used to watch "The X-Files", "Star Trek(s)" and "Xena: The Warrior Princess" religiously ;) Now I'm into "Heroes"... and re-watching "Babylon 5" :))Books
Hmmm... You know, you shouldn't ask a book-worm a question like this or you may get swept away by the avalanche of book- information :))) Can we talk about some favourite writers instead? Ok... then, on my bookshelves you will definately find: J.R.R. Tolkien, Andrzej Sapkowski, Stephen King, Maja Lidia Kossakowska, Jacek Piekara, Terry Pratchett, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Joanna Chmielewska, Anne Rice, Carlos Fuentes, Dan Brown, J.K. Rowling - just to name a (VERY) few ... and not to mention any poets and dramatists/playwriters (that would be an additional mile-long list!) :))Heroes
Good question... The only real-life heroes for me are the people who can stand me for more than 10 minutes :)) They surely deserve to be worshiped for their patience, devotion, understanding and invaluable advice! Who else? I can't think of anyone else except for some "fictional heroes" like: Daimon Frey/Abbaddon (from M.L. Kossakowska's book), Lestat, Geralt of Riva and his "Last Wish" love(r) - Yennefer (from A. Sapkowski's books), Aragron, Eowyn ("I fear no death or pain..." [Aragorn] "What do you fear, lady? [EOWYN] A cage. To stay behind bars, until use and old age accept them, and all chance of doing great deeds is gone beyond recalls or desire.") and maybe a few more... ......
