Hailing out of Flint, MI, It Lies Within (ILW) has been a band in the making for almost eight years. This is a brand new project formed from the ashes of the band Forethought. With the addition and loss of a few members (Todd Beard (Teaching the Masses), Chris Konkle (Jetta Red), Rob Merrolis (Avoid The Clap), Justin Ritz (Vegas Bound), Rob Hamper (Tattooing the World), DJ Drone, and DJ G-Whip), ILW is now clicking more than ever. ILW has established a good name in the Flint-town, Detroit Area, and the whole state of Michigan over the years. They have toured a handful of times around the Midwest area and are always preparing for new tours! Their drive comes from the energy their loyal fans bring to every show! ILW is one of the most well rounded local bands with their highly energetic and passionate live performances! ILW is here to bring you that sound that varies from the Norm of "Nu-Metal and Hardcore" bands today!

We just got done in the studio after this long awaited new project! We recorded with Dreadcore Productions (Josh Wickman) and Cloud City Studio's (Nick Morris). Josh from Dreadcore is an insane engineer who is someone you will hear a lot from in the future. He is in works with a lot of indie labels (I Surrender/Earache) and some very brutal bands. Nick currently owns and runs Cloud City who have recorded such bands as: Walls of Jericho (Trustkill), The Black Dahlia Murder (MetalBlade), Winter Solstice (Metal Blade), Bloodlined Caligraphy (Face Down), etc... Some serious things have happened for the bands that have recorded with these fine gents. Get ready cause the storm is coming!

Hey guys music sounds good. There aren't to many bands out there mixing up what you guys got going on with the tough guy and melodic singing and such. We like this a lot. Keep up the good tunes guys.
