About me:
Hello Zine Friends!
We are so happy to let you know that issue 10 of it'll happen is finally complete and viewable on our website: www.itllhappenzine.blogspot.com Becky and I apologize for the long delay between issues, life got away from us for a bit, but we're back at it, and ready to churn them out again.We are extremely happy with this mammoth issue which features contributions from artists around the world as well as pieces from a few of our amazing regulars.
There are some very exciting developments in Zineland that we would like to share with you.
First: we have three more issues planned and deadlines set, so Please! send us your submissions.
Issue 11: deadline Sep 19th, due to come out Sep 22. This issue is our first that will specifically feature drawing, graphic art, cartooning, collaging, and more! Though we love working in the photographic medium, we want to take a little break, and put together one issue that features some of the amazing pen and pencil wielding skills of our contributors.
Issue 12: deadline Nov 3rd, issue due to come out Nov 8th (send us anything!)
Issue 13: deadline Dec 27, issue due to come out Dec 29 (please please, send us sarcastic writing or imagery about the holidays. it would make our hearts sing)
The second bit of exciting news is that in March, 2009, it'll happen, along with Studio 16 1/2, will be publishing it's first book! We will be putting together a real, live, bound book featuring the "best of" the first 13 issues which will be accompanied by an exhibition in Victoria, BC at Studio 16 1/2 and a second later in Toronto. All artwork in the book will be drawn from past issues so these next three are your last chance to submit to be considered!
