In 1973, Dan Nawara and Mark Meisinger formed It’s a Wise Child, and Gabriel Boden joined in 1976. In 2001 they bought microphones and began singing songs into them. The band released its first full-length record, Self Titled Album, in 2004, which received rave reviews from at least 5 people who were not sleeping with any band members at press time. Jim DeRogatis (Sound Opinions host and Chicago Sun-Times music critic) described the album’s sound as “melodic indie-rock with a Louisville slant.”
It’s A Wise Child creates a unique and diverse sound using a simple approach: two guitars, bass, and drums. The songwriting team of Nawara, Meisinger, and Boden all contribute lyrically and vocally. The band has been recently joined by Bob Chinnici, a drummer extraordinaire from the Midas Filangray school of rhythm. They are currently writing and recording a fresh collection of songs on the near north side of Chicago, where the core members of the band reside. A new album is expected by summer 2007.

Just writing to say "Hi" to my friends. Sorry it's been a while since I've been able to communicate here on MySpace. We just wrapped filming of the feature film "Blood-A Butchers Tale." It's going to be great- lot's of effects and CGI- and we shot it with the most high tech camera's in the industry today- really cutting edge stuff. It should be released in August. My co-stars are Aaron Douglas, Kim Coates, and Christa Campbell. Keep and eye on IMDB for updates: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1043468. We've got a lot of set photo's. As soon as I get a release, I'll put them on a blog.
