food, music and alcohol - and people who enjoy them. also, anyone who is capable of using the english language with skill.
Music
i like things that move me - not physically, so much, because i'm totally uncoordinated. things that stir my soul or make me remember why i breathe or sum up what i've been feeling but haven't been able to express... sometimes things that just... rock. or make me jump up and down and giggle uncontrollably. things that make me realize i'm alive.
Movies
i'd like to pretend i'm high-brow, but i've already copped to being from the central san joaquin valley. i like great b-grade comedies because they make me laugh ('better off dead,' 'spinal tap,' 'addams family values,' etc.) i also love anything that makes me cry (which isn't difficult) but i hate suspense or anything unsettling (don't ask me to tell you what happens when i'm forced to watch something like 'deep blue sea' - lame, but true...)
Television
not so much, although i find it hard to turn off 'that 70s show,' any 'behind the music,' 'the daily show' or anything pertaining to ancient egypt.
Books
'veronika decides to die' by paolo coelho and 'immortality' by milan kundera are at the top, but pretty much anything by either author absolutely inspires me. then there's also steve martin, david sedaris, dorothy parker, banana yoshimoto, agatha christie, the first handful of anne rice novels, and too many others to name...
Heroes
My dad, Tom Landry and Dorothy Parker

About me: i'm a dork - but i think of that as a positive attribute. i'm from fresno (or 'f***no,' as my friend ashod likes to refer to it) so there's no way i could even try to pass myself off as cool. i recently found a letter i earned in high school - in academics. i've never belonged to a 'scene' - in fact, i've never really fit in anywhere. i love music. i hate unfairness. i'm going to become a pirate someday. i love food, especially if it contains cheese and/or butter. i want to host real versions of the imaginary dinner parties i dream up (john madden, johnny depp, dorothy parker, robyn hitchcock, wayne coyne, paolo coelho, my friend jarod...) i want to take over the world and make it safe for good people. i don't want to fly, because i'm afraid of heights. i can drink you under the table and still have a (mostly) intelligent conversation. i like cats AND dogs - and i like it when it rains both. my nice person network (shhhhhhhh - we're taking over) extends around the world. and, um, my favorite color is blue. or, more accurately, my favorite colors are black and blue - but i'm not a masochist. not any more.

Thank you as always. We hope you can take a listen.
But would we put it in different sized baggies so that a minimum sized baggie cost 5c and so on... Or would we just scoop it out of our pockets and pay by the handful?
The possibilities are endless. We should have a peanut sauce eating competition.
Hey kiddo, I obviously didn't make it to Melbourne... passed a good part of the past three months in France. When are you back in Seattle? Give Scott a big kick in the ass and tell him it's from The Cool Courtney Love. JR
