Some say the "Street" connotation has expressions with multiple meanings. Which can either be dictated by; living
on the street, being gangster or whichever meaning may relate to you. There has been much talk around town about a
new metaphor of street; her name is sincerely original; BRITTANY STREET.
Brittany Street - Lyricist/Songwriter sets out to shock the world and as she puts it, "wants to be one of
the best to ever do it."
Hailing from the northeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana is considered one of hip-hops most respected underground
female artists at this present time. She brings you music to vibe to on any occasion. Versatility is her main key
to GREAT innovative music. Brittany says, "You can not be attached to one genre, it means you are only limited to
one type of music. That's why I think my fans love me. I can cross over into different styles."
With stylistic influences and echoes of Lauryn Hill, Lupe Fiasco,and 2Pac, Brittany Street insists on making a mark
of her own. At the age of 23 she takes music on a trip back to the golden age of hip-hop with a pop! She has
conquered the essence of soul, love, and truth all in one sound. Brittany has a style that involves creative
stories telling over melodic beats, which is a rare find in many artist.
Street is also the Co-Founder of her own writing team, "good comPENy" along with Donny "HOTT" Lewis. Both linked up
in 2007 to create and set out to be one of the most accomplished songwriting teams in the Music Industry and she
says, WE ARE RIGHT ON TARGET. "With the help of my partner/brother Hott and our newest member of the team, Kady
theres nothing that we can't do".
There is rarely anything more exciting than hearing an artist bring and fully explore different ideas and
methodologies. Brittany Street repeatedly touches each person as if they were hearing it for the first time. Her
style is unique, and she is sure to light up your hearts as well as your minds.
