After 5 years of organizing Soul Kitchen Club and a more recent rock/indie
Club called Rauha Trio, It's time to start a new chapter and begin the
international It's Cookin' project. The wings have been spread and the
result is a colorful compilation of various treasures. Some never released
on vinyl, some never released before and of course, the good old
favorites.
Well known in Finland for their kitchen/music themed Soul Kitchen Club,
resident DJ Lovroc (Aapo Markkula), Ilkka laine (Derailed) and assisted by
the third member of Rauha Trio, Mikko Kuiri (Miky Mau) decided to reflect
back on the past club nights and put together a compilation which would
collect the past years in between two covers.
The result is a compilation that you can definitely cook with! A variety
of soul, new funk and head-banging rap tunes will keep the crowds going
till the early morning.
The first compilation is just the beginning!

Soul Sides kicks the year off to good start with a visit from Nick Recordkicks, the head of the internationally known Record Kicks label. Nick organizes the top rare groove club in Milano called Boogaloo, which has had appearances from the cream of deep funk DJ's including Keb Darge, Ian Wright, Jazzman Gerald and Andy Smith.
The repertoire of our guest includes both 60's and 70's soul, funk, and boogaloo rarities, and the best examples of new releases by recent artists. Nick's dynamic selections can be heard on Radio Pelle Nera and Play. fm.
Operating since 2003 the Record Kicks label focuses on releasing properly licenced quality reissues of soul and funk rarities and also new recordings by the finest artists in organic dance music. The label has put out releases by Baby Charles, Kokolo Afrobeat Orchestra and The New Mastersounds. The popular Let's Boogaloo compilations are some of the best known releases on the label.

This is the last release of the year for the iBreaks Labels. 2008 been a huge year for iBreaks as a whole, with some massive tracks coming out in all their labels, and also some very successful projects taken place such as the iBreaks Festival in Seville, gathering over 3,000 ravers.
With iBreaks 021 we’ve taken two of the tracks that will be included in mr Digital Base’s album “Digital Era” and releasing them as a little 12” sampler…
First up the impressive “Behold” sees how Digital Base takes an angry approach to his usual grooves, with a crazy track indeed full of crossed over elements, from electro house melodies to heavy metal guitars… This one is definitely one to kick arse in the dance floor.
Flip is for the amazing Dekoy remix of Digital Base’s “Turn Me Out”. A track which was originally released on Vatican House, and now we’ve borrowed it to remix it and release it on iBreaks Records. Amazing beats and a track full of positiveness all the way down.
To us this is one of the biggest releases of the year and clearly states iBreaks is gonna play a big role in the breaks scene in 2009….
