!!WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW LEAD SINGER!!
We are influenced in many different ways and by many different bands but we feel what we are currently producing will evolve along with ourselves.
We play and write our own original material we have produced two ep,s to date and intend to produce more our music is getting stronger as is the bands following .
The Wigan four-piece may be young at the average age of 18 but their sound is easily identifiable as rock with a modern twist, drawing on influences such as Deep Purple,Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden to name but a few. The band have a distinctive and multi-dimensional style, easily shifting from soft harmonic ballards to no holds barred rock.
The band co-write a lot of original material and have completed two self funded EP's in their short but ferocious career to date. As a testament to their talents they took many well established North west bands by surprise to storm through the Manchester and regional heats to eventually place 6th in the England Final of the Global Battle Of The Bands 2006. Having created a strong local following amongst both lovers and newcomers to rock music, the four-piece are now concentrating on taking their music to a much wider audience.
Helvelyn 2 are first and foremost a band with no individual stars in their show however, each member stands out in their own field. Their regular gigs have provided the band with a lot of opportunities to practice their showmanship which is easily observable in their mind- blowing live performances and may explain why a return to a venue they have performed at is a regular occurance.
Helvelyn 2 they have the passion and determination required to achieve their goal of taking their music to a much wider audiance, watch for them appearing at a venue near you in the future.
YOU CAN NOT AFFORD TO MISS SEEING THEM LIVE.
BLACKPOOL EVENING GAZETTE said, Wigan’s hard rocking Helvelyn 2 had all sorts of reasons to believe the night could be theirs for the taking. Despite an average age of just 18 they look and sound like they’ve been touring for years. Their image is classic rock . A week which started with Led Zeppelin’s reunion ended with what could develop into their heir (and hair ) apparents justifying the faith their ever growing Blackpool fan base has in them. If there’d been a Guitar Star prize going Stefan Finney would have claimed it – with drummer James Eccles-Churton and bassist David Isherwood not far behind in the glory takes. There will be many more reviews like this I am sure!
