it's not rocket science (inrs) studios became another houston problem when it opened for business in 2001 with a roomful of expensive equipment and a bewildered NASA scientist (the good doctor kelly snook) who didn't know the first thing about how to use any of it. Thanks to the patience of a few generous and brilliant artists, who clung to the little rocket as it shot up the learning curve, our persistent and cunning little engineer has since trained herself well, and she has committed herself to making interesting and innovative sounds and music. now located in the heart of our nation's capitol, it's not rocket science studios has teamed with new record label, tiny planet records, to bring you the sweetest sounding songs in this part of the galaxy. four examples of songs recorded and/or produced at it's not rocket science studios are included here with permission from the artists. a formal studio website is in the works. please stay tuned.

events
we at inrs studios, tiny planet records, and a small band of stalwart Baha'is host monthly (or sometimes twice monthly) house concerts designed to feature performers who express their spirituality or inspiration through music in innovative ways. the studio is always packed with a diverse and energetic crowd, dinner is served, and the presentations are top notch. in addition to performing, the guest artists discuss their art and the inspiration behind it. there are plenty of opportunities at these gatherings to find out more information about the Baha'i Faith in a warm and casual atmosphere. all are welcome and the event is free, but rsvps are required. send us an email to rsvp and check our performance listings on this site for updates.
