don't watch it all that much... grew up thinking it a communistic plot. now... it's just a stupidity plot. or a capitalistic plot... what with all that (un)reality bullshit. hbo had / has some good stuff, but since the channels on my tv / cable have changed... i'm kinda lost. guess it's about teaching an old dog new tricks. but i'm really not that old (besides age is just a number) and i love new tricks... hell, i love anything new. well... most anything new. i probably could think of some new stuff i wouldn't like... or tolerate.

About me: i wasn't born a storyteller, but became a fabler through travels in out of the way locales. it's only cigars is my first book. my adventures took me on a life long journey to many places most people only read about and my escapades are things that dreams come from. presently, i'm working on several yarns. future books will include havana highway, a tale about being hijacked to cuba when i was 20 years old. the cosmic palace is a trip down memory lane with stories about my hippie days of partying with the dead and other stuff. and, camp fed, a mash type comedy spoof about being exposed to the federal prison system. i've worked for chase manhattan bank as a financial analyst; dealt antiques; started several successful businesses; and, imported / exported products from all over the world (both legal and illegal). for my rogue exploits, i spent some time in prison for conspiracy to possess pot. i have retired several times. the last of which found me living the good life down in jamaica... where the book it's only cigars came to life. my email is havanadave@itsonlycigars.com. and my website is www.itsonlycigars.com.

Who I'd like to meet: anyone with at least 1/2 a brain who can maintain a good conversation for more than one minute about more than one subject... hell, one subject would be ok. but then i guess that would be settling. so sorry... no can do! back to original statement. except due to the basic mentality of most of the modern day population, one minute is about all one should / could expect.
Things are going well here. I visited with two book groups this week and talked about Sin and Vengeance even though it's been out for almost three years. We talked with Marla Cukor, the screenwriter who is working on the film adaptation. I'm not sure who enjoyed the meetings most, but we all got a lot out them.
