About Itu & The JoyStars

Itu & The JoyStars hail from Sydney NSW and are the creative wild child of singer songwriter “Itu”. Born in Fiji in the South Pacific Itu grew up in rural & South Coast regions of NSW Australia. Since moving to Sydney 8 years ago Itu has been showcasing her work to packed venues across the country including high profile music festivals such as Newtown, Surry Hills, Peats Ridge, Village Arts and Yag’ubi to name a few. In 2007 she released her album ‘Love & Light’ produced by Chris Gray and also formed The JoyStars (Brian Campeau on lead guitar, Steve Short on bass, Michal Siczynski on drums and guest vocalist Claire Wyndham on harmonies). Since then Itu & The JoyStars have been a permanent fixture on the Sydney music scene. “It’s music for the soul with a hopeful spin on the human condition!” ITU'S ALBUM "LOVE & LIGHT" is now available through CD Baby!
