Ivan Clay is the jazzy side of AFX, one of the producers of Demolition Men Productions. Ivan Clay was "born" while AFX played with the idea of doing a instrumental only album to display his talents as a self taught keyboardist. As each song was completed, it became apparent that his natural gift was jazz. Being that he also writes other styles, he incorporated those styles into his jazz repertoire. At that point, AFX felt that he needed to separate his jazz and producer personas to be taken more seriously in the jazz world. So, as a jazz artist, the use of his middle and last name was chosen.
The term "Urban Jazz" can be used to describe the feel and flavor of Ivan Clay's songs. "I know that some people may not understand what I mean when I call my style of jazz "Urban Jazz". Simply, it is hip hop/rap beats with jazz music and melodies played on top. It's like some of the songs I hear on 94.7FM The Wave (KTWV). But, with a little more street edge.", says Ivan Clay. "Jazz is something that I have loved my whole life and is some of the best music I have been exposed to growing up. I have listened to music from Duke Ellington and Miles Davis to Dave Koz and The Rippingtons. Jazz has changed over the years and now incorporates a wide range of feel and flavor. So, I am trying to blend in with that.", says Ivan Clay.
Ivan Clay plans to establish the validity of making music that has feelings as well as show that talent can go a long way.

"A lucky star dropped on earth 1 night, and it asked me "what do you want? a million dollars or a true friend?". I chose a million dollars .....because I already have a true friend---YOU."

An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice."(There is also scripture about this) 1. Pray 2. Go to bed on time. 3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed. 4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others. 6. Simplify and unclutter your life. 7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.) 8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together. 10. Take one day at a time.
He will not leave you nor forsake you. -Deuteronomy 31:6 He is always there. The Lord's presence gives us comfort and security. He has promised, "I will never leave you not forsake you." Who knows us more completely? Who loves us more fully? Who cares for us so well? In Psalm 139, we read what King David thought of God's precious presence. He wrote, "O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up;...and are acquainted with all my ways.....If I ascend into heaven, you are there" (vv. 1-3,8). No matter what happens to us, we have this assurance: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1). Open your eyes and your heart. He is there. We can face any fear when we know the Lord is near. Have a wonderful week! God bless!
