This is Ivan J. Acoustic & this my bio. First of all, I want to thank God & everybody that's helped me through out the years. Well, a little bit about me now...
I grew up in Puerto Rico, moving to Kissimmee, Fl, in 2000. My life has always revolved around music and singing. As a child and my teens, I played various instruments at church, such as saxophone, bass and drums. After moving to Fl, I realized I enjoyed pretending to play guitar. My grandfather taught me a few chords back when I was younger, & I decided to give it a try.
After getting better at it, I played in a punk-rock band, Hi-Strung, for a few years. I started writting songs & music then. Time & life change people, and some people change just for the heck of it. I have experienced beautiful, painful and scary things in my life, but somehow most of my songs end up being about love and relationships. It's probably not the most interesting subject, but what can I say, I live to love, & love to tell you about it.
I recently joined forces with Brendan Curran, a vocalists/guitarist, new to FL. We met at an open mic night & decided to get together & give it a try. We bring a combination of two vocals with intense harmonies, two guitars and lots of energy in our live performances and still trying to make it better. This combination resulted in a promising future duo, DAY BEFORE DAWN, which we're working on building the new myspace page with professionally recorded new tracks, promo pics & videos. So for now, come support us & show some love, it will be returned!!!
