I really dislike MySpace. Don't get me wrong, I think it is amazing to see people from high school, and I'm tickled pink that so many people are participating in the social networking craze. What sucks is the fact the code backing the site looks like it was made by a tweaker monkey with head trauma. It irritates me that the site 25 million people signed up for is a god-awful mess under the hood.

The web is how I put food on the table. The technology has amazing potential, but when designers are doing their jobs they have to support the least common denominator. If you are looking at this in Internet Explorer, stop now. No, seriously, go download firefox and stop being a part of the problem.

If IE wasn't 60% of the market people like me could stop spending half their time trying to make stuff work in IE and the web would be a much cooler place.

Oh yeah, once you install Firefox, get StumbleUpon. It raises wasting time to a high art form... Will on the Web

Many thanks to Mike Davidson from whom I lifted this background and got ideas for the layout based on his MySpace page. (Though to my credit, the centering of the comments in a separate table row is something I've not seen anyone else do without using absolute positioning.)
