About me:
Yes this is the Wendy Allyn from WYCE, www.wyce.org If you don't know it give it a click and give us a listen. My show is Fridays 3-6 ET, when I always play Joan Armatrading. All of our programmers are volunteers. We program the music on our own shows. It's radio as it used to be, the person talking is the person providing the entertainment. It's amazing. We are talkin' Brain Manna, in the form of Community Radio!
No luck on this PRTQ contest, but I'll be there if they do it again!
I am also a big co-op head. Have you ever heard of my co-op, CIRCLE PINES CENTER? We have a Summer Camp that teaches Peace & Cooperation. The people & the land there are exceptional. I have been going down and working to get ready for summer camp. Summer Camp two two week sessions, Peace & Arts. Then Youth Institute runs for a week. Who I'd like to meet:
Community radio folk, musicians, GLBT performers that would belong in WYCE's eclectic format. Conversation about my show on WYCE, music or community radio itself. I would also like to meet more CO-OP minded folks. I am a huge CO-OP fan. Yes I know, the CO-OP movement has dwindled a bit but I still think the idea rocks.
