I have been saying for the last year that someone like Dr. Dre or Russell Simmons should purchase Death Row Records. The money in licensing the songs from Snoop, Dre, Pac, and Rage for ads, games etc would be enormous. Think about it. If you took Pac's song All Eyez On Me (and licensed it for $2.00 a game) as the theme song in a boxing game for a Wii or Playstation and that game sold one million copies that's two million dollars just for owning the catalog.
I didn't watch President Barack Obama's inauguration. I planned to watch it, but at the last minute, I decided to listen to it on the radio. I wanted to experience it the way my grandparents would have experienced it. They would have been glued to the radio listening closely, absorbing every word. I was brought to tears with what I could imagine and what I heard.
The Oscars are fast upon us – scheduled for February 22 - and with a deluge of movies from the past several months in the running, it can be difficult to keep up.
One of the only beauties of being laid off is the amount of time – and relative cheapness – involved in frequent trips to the show. With a movie theater right around the corner, it's nothing for me to indulge on a random Tuesday evening. Yes, I'm THAT guy alone in the movie theater...what of it?
