The band, born in autumn 1994 with the previous name of Neriene, was formed by Luciano Laky Chessa, lead guitar, Michele Miky Chessa, guitar and voice, and the bassist Andrea BJ Caminiti. Few months later, Alex Julius Giuliani, drums, joined the band.
In Winter 1996, after the release of their first self-titled demo tape, Neriene changed their name in IV LUNA, latin words meaning fourth day of crescent moon, a moniker more adapt to describe the gloomy atmosphere in their sound.
In spring 1997 IV LUNA entered in studio to record Promo 97, composed by three original long tracks (about 20 minutes). The promo was only destined to radio, magazine, and zine and obtained great reviews. Promo 97 was played by various station radio and permitted the band to play to some local festivals, for example Sesta in Festa and Nel Nome Del Rock (Palestrina, RM) where they shared the stage with Scisma, Venus, and Misery Loves CO.
In April 1999 the band came back in studio to record their first album, Liberamente, self-produced in collaboration with B&b Productions, and presented on the beginning of 2000 at Mentelocale, famous rock club in Palestrina, (RM). The CD received great acclaims from all rock/metal magazines and the band started giggling all over Italy.
In 2003 the band published DIncanto, a new album, released for Blond Records. This record obtained again amazing reviews and a wide public success.
The band, being involved every daily life moment in writing, arranging and playing their songs, started to feel the effect to dont have a label which can give them the right promotion. Blond Records, being a label that produces a total different kind of music respect to IV LUNA, wasnt able to sell the album.
In 2005 IV LUNA and BJ friendly split up, because of new musical interests of the bassist. Giacomo Tris Citro became new bass-player in the band and they soon started to compose new songs with english lyrics to try to sell their music not only in Italy but in Europe and over.
In January 2006 the band released a promotional enhanced Ep, Anteroom, aiming to present their music only to label that could be really interesting to sell, to produce and to promote it. Their sound could be briefly defined as Progressive/Gothic/Metal but it is a sound drawn from an eclectic range of influence, due to the different music that each IV LUNA musicians listen to, and characterized by carefull arrangements and Miks versatility voice.

A NIGHT WITH ZERODECIBEL & FRIENDS Rassegna artistico/musicale
Venerdì 27 giugno 2008, al Classico Village, a partire dalle ore 19.00, grande Rassegna di musica, arte, gastronomia e spettacolo organizzata da Zerodecibel, giovane società nel campo dell’audio, video e comunicazione, ideatrice e promotrice del progetto JAM SESSION LIVE!, che dal 2006 ha coinvolto, facendoli incontrare con un appuntamento settimanale fisso tutti i mercoledì sera, in diverse location, centinaia di musicisti e amanti della musica proponendo ogni volta uno spettacolo unico nel suo genere. Nelle tre sale a disposizione non la “solita serata” ma molto di più. Un intenso mescolarsi d’arti e sensazioni proposte dalle molteplici realtà capitoline che si alterneranno con le proposte musicali della JAM SESSION LIVE!, o l’improvvisazione e gli effetti collaterali de” I Bugiardini” che presenteranno lo spettacolo teatrale "Le Faremo Sapere".
Poi le esibizioni di fine anno degli allievi della scuole di musica, SOUND VOICE ACCADEMY seguiti dalla M. Silvia Gollini e quella della ZERODECIBEL YUNIOR BANDS, con allievi ed insegnanti insieme sul palco e JAM SESSION LIVE SET!, performance visual e audio con Frenetik Beat, ESP, DJ Power, Angelo J (ADL), Comer, FET, giovani DJ e producer della scena disco romana.
Oltre alle opere artistiche di Angela Masotti, saranno presentate le mostre fotografiche Sguardi d’Africa, di Fabio Ciarrocchi, Viaggiare in bianco e nero, di Gianluca Bovarino,Berlin moves, di Daniele Di Pietro e Michela Czech, e le immagini proposte da Arsenio Bitritto.
Durante la serata ci sarà un dimostrazione del softwere ABLETON LIVE, con un WORKSHOP a cura di Fabio Sestili e Giulio Maresca e degustazione di cibi e vini del Lazio, all’insegna del divertimento e dello stare insieme.
Il tutto con ingresso gratuito, a cuor leggero, come piace a quelli di Zerodecibel.

I added a new song to the player. It’s called “Frantic Freedom”.
It’s a live studio groove rock jam that’s funky as hell! Think of Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxey Lady” on steroids, and you’ll have a good idea of what’s in store for you when you hear the song.
