Ivy Road has been around for about 14 years, give or take a few members, but its beginning has been with Jason Lloyd and Lynda Laws. We both are from very musical families. A chance meeting (we think fate). Lyndas sister had a music hall in Jonesborough with a July 4th "no show" band. Some begging and alot of blackmailing convinced her to do her 1st show ever. Jason, home from Tn. Tech, said he played guitar alittle and offered to help the poor uncontrollably shaking Lynda. The rest is history. We've had some fantastic opportunites along the way. We've been the opening act for Johnny Winters, The Marshall Tucker Band, and Black Oak Arkansas. We've toured and played festivals in Scotland, fan-fare in Nashville, Binion's Horseshoe Lounge in Miss., and been the headline act for The Little Chicago Blues Festival. We've been featured on The King Pup Radio Hour, Live with Dave Carter on WETS and on HTV3 television. Some of our festivals have included The Blue Plum Festival, the Abingdon Highland Festival, Grandfather Mtn. Highland Games, Speyfest in the U.K. and many more. We've shared the stage with some of the best musicians east Tn. has to offer and have made some incredible friends along the way. Some of the bands we either started or were a part of are "The Impalas", "the Mojo Junkies", "Ardrossan", and Benny Wilson. We have a great time doing what we do. And no, we're not married, although writing music, playing music, and being around each other is alot like a marriage. We've got 3 cd's to our credit (2 celtic, 1 blues) and we're working on our 4th. We
