To say Ivy Rossiter's musical influences are hardly in vogue would be to say you haven't noticed a recent resurgence in Doc Marten boots, angsty idealism, and guitar-driven girl pop.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of PJ Harvey, Ani Difranco and Fiona Apple, Ivy's songwriting examines life through the self-conscious eyes of a passionate young woman in an engaging collision of punk rock roots and a newly discovered infatuation for country music.
Now accompanied by the 'Little Isles' band (Tom Broome on drums and Jonathan Burgess on bass), Ivy's self-produced debut EP is an uncut gem in Auckland's often-predictable singer-songwriter landscape.
heya, just a little note to say we got this debut album thing released on monday! we'll be out playing in March/April, hope to catch you then... x a. s. z. a
