About me:
Director George C. Wolfe calls 'I Want You' both "Stylish and Smart," additionally 'I Want You' won the Audience Award for Best Film at the 2007 African American Women in Cinema Film Festival, and was recognized as an Audience Favorite at the 2008 Women of Color Arts and Film Festival. The film is also a 2008 Official Selection of the Black Lily Film and Music Festival, the San Diego Black Film Festival, the Women's International Film Festival, the Pan African Film Festival, the Zuma International Film Festival, the San Francisco Black Film Festival, the Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival and the Reel Women International Film Festival.
Jazz Smollett and Ohene Cornelius star in 'I Want You,' a stylized, black and white short film that charts the emotional compass of young love when Lennox Jones, an aspiring novelist, meets and falls hard for Baldwin Wright, a charismatic musician on the rise. A whimsical romance ensues, but falls short when high expectations meet discontent. After trouble erupts, time apart forces them to decide whether or not their love was meant to last. “I Want You” is based on a feature length screenplay which shares the same name.
