"I told those fucks down at the league office a thousand times that I don't roll on Shabbos!"

"What's Shabbos?"

"Saturday, Donny, is Shabbos, the Jewish day of rest.
That means that I don't work, I don't get in a car, I don't fucking ride in a car, I don't pick up the phone, I don't turn on the oven, and I sure as shit don't fucking roll! Shomer shabbos!

Thanks for the add! I teach middle school English, and I thought you might like to know that the social studies teachers at my school are keepin' the Oregon Trail dream alive for today's students. Although it's a newer version of the game, not in old-school glorious black and green, it's played on PCs rather than Macs, and it's probably more politically correct as well.

Thanks for the add. I'm reading your book at work, on breaks, at the butt hut. Needless to say it will be a miracle if I haven't been fired for "possible emotional issues" by the time I finish.
How can anyone not laugh out loud?!

Was GLaDoS the one who told you there would be cake? Because I was told the cake is a lie.
Great book though

Just finished your book whilst lying in a seedy hotel room in Vancouver. Strange noises were emanating from the alleyway below and I thought I heard somebody call my name. How you made me laugh. I've gleaned "Rat Cancer" from you and will use it ad nauseum. Thank you, you're brilliant.

and i was told there would be an accessible bathroom. in all reality, your book is very good! way to be! you deserve cake in celebration.

also, for some curious person who comes to your page and wishes there were just a few more anecdotes in "i was told there'd be cake," maybe try On Toilets by Matt Ashby.

Read the book this weekend on a trip to NYC. Had to force myself to put it down to sleep, shop, eat.
Well done. You have a great voice and perspective in your writing. I look forward to more.
