Robert "14K." Houpe is a strong force behind Izmi-Mikon Records. He is the webmaster for his company's site, though he'd like to give that hat to someone else to wear. "They should make 48 hours in a day...so I can do all I need to get done," says Houpe. "On second thought.... cancel that..... I'd never get any sleep!" He is also the Studio Engineer behind the tracks. As a Producer/DJ he has experience finding ways of making the mixes sound hot, while adding radio friendly as well as street versions to each song. "I started out as a DJ in the early 80's" says Houpe. "I learned how to sense what people wanted to hear to keep them on the dance floor. Music today is real trendy and you have to keep up with it.
Houpe has worked in three major studios as an intern with several well known artists, before deciding to start his own record label. "There's a lot of talent here in North Carolina. "All I can say is ......WATCH OUT, HERE WE COME!!!"
