Izopn (pronounced EYES OPEN) Sprang forth from the North Georgia backwoods in the fall of 1998. A egregious horde that is comprised of like-minded hell raisers that are disgusted by all of the trendy garbage that is being passed off as "Metal" these days......., IZOPN, with the aid of modern chemistry and a whole lot of alcohol, embrace our almost unbearable disdain for the "Nu-metal" mindset, and use it to fuel our ongoing struggle to free "metal" music of it's corporate imposed "POP" shackles. By which it can be restored to it's rightful underground throne..... So if you've ever found yourself in dire need of a real metal band that is focused on playing real "metal" music for real "metal" fans and less focused on impressing everyone else, then hang around and further explore the elitist metal juggernaut know as IZOPN and it's unrelenting pursuit to reclaim METAL music for itself and metal's few remaining foot soldiers.......
Ok, for those of you that don't already know, IZOPN is on permanent hiatus. Which means, at least for the foreseeable future, IZOPN will not be writing or performing together.
With that said, Kyle, Jay, and myself (Andy) have started workin on a new project called Eloquence of Suffering. Joining in on the fun is former IZOPN bass player (current Coathanger Abortion frontman) Robbie Wooten on bass. E.O.S. is contains more of the ambient and down-tempo sound than IZOPN did.
