Music

I'm not completely fond of modern music, which is why my taste is mainly music of yesteryears - ranging from the late 50s to the 80s. FEW songs of the 90s and 2000s are okay, one of my favorite current groups are The Eels (love "I Need Some Sleep", lolz), and my favorite song is "Accidentally in Love" by Counting Crows... reminds me of my countless "unconventional crushes", lol. Favorite genre is 80s.

Movies

My all time favorite movie is Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, my other top nine favorites are Austin Powers in Goldmember, Bruce Almighty, Charlie's Angels, The Day After Tomorrow, Elf (the ONLY Will Ferrell movie so far that's actually worth watching), The Incredibles, Shrek 2, Stalag 17 and Super Mario Bros.

Television

You know what most of today's television is? Crap. Absolutely crap. I happen to know several people of my own age and generation who would rather watch a classic sitcom from the 60s than most of what's on TV today; because of this, I model much of my own television work after classic sitcoms. M*A*S*H is my favorite show of all time, even though it went downhill starting with Season Eight; other favorites include The Andy Griffith Show, Bewitched, The Bugaloos, Far Out Space Nuts, I Dream of Jeannie, Green Acres, H.R. Pufnstuf, Land of the Lost, The Lost Saucer, The Muppet Show, Sanford and Son, Sesame Street (the old school years, and Sigmund and the Seamonsters

Books

Biographies, memoirs, behind-the-scenes books.

  • The Wisdom of Big Bird and the Dark Genius of Oscar the Grouch: Lessons from a Life in Feathers
  • Bewitched Forever
  • Sesame Street Unpaved
  • The Complete Book of M*A*S*H
  • The Get Fuzzy treasurey collection
  • I'm Hosting as Fast as I Can!: Zen and the Art of Staying Sane in Hollywood

  • Heroes

Pretty much anyone in puppetry, my biggest hero is Jim Henson. Also Shari Lewis and Sid and Marty Krofft.

    About me:
Joseph Scarbrough has been playing with puppets since the age of eleven, but kicked off his puppetry career by the time he was fifteen with a brief, weeklong stint with his signature character, Steve D'Monster for a pledge drive to support Sesame Street, and other children's programming on ETPtv, a PBS affiliate in Knoxville, Tennessee. Since then, he has expanded his art and creativity - Steve D'Monster can now be seen in comedic videos on the internet as a mainstay of the Scarbrough Fair web series (older videos can be seen on YouTube, newer videos on MySpace TV), meanwhile Joseph continues to develop and conceive new characters and new projects for people of all ages to enjoy.

Be sure to check with Joseph's blog for further updates on what's to come and what's in store in his own, unique puppety universe.
    Who I'd like to meet:
Any of the Muppeteers, Alan Alda, Mike Farrell, Harry Morgan, Gary Burghoff, Jamie Farr, William Christopher, Kathy Greenwood, Sid and Marty Krofft.

Since I haven't had ABC Family since before season 7, I haven't been keeping track of which episodes have and haven't aired on it. According to the WLWiki though, there are five episodes that have aired overseas but not yet in America ( http://www.idiotsite.com/WLWiki/index.php?title=US_Season_8#five_US_Episodes.2C_yet_to_air_in_the_US ). It seems likely that it would be those (and maybe even more?). It's good to hear that they might finally be shown, but why they would wait until now (which I think is well over a year since the last new ABC Famiy episodes aired for the first time), I have no idea!

Yeah, it's a harsh lesion, and I don't expect to be invited back after that either. But yeah, ding better now. So that's a good thing.

By the way, I meant out of "line" and not like. Anyway, I know it's not the same thing. But if you ever read the Street Gang book, I feel a little like John Stone when he got kicked of SS.

Yeah, I mean it does seem kind of harsh for just a misunderstanding. Actually I was the one who requested to be beaned. But I never heard of what you're  talking about.

Lots of mixed emotions, but I blame myself. I was out of like and I did act irrationally, and I agree with Kevin and it was unnecessary. Got caught up in a lot of feelings and said some things to people I didn't mean. I should have acted the way i did. I do feel about about it, but you can't be mad at yourself forever.

I still really like the people over there. I was the one with the problem and the attitude.

    how do.
thanks for adding me. i'll be checking out your videos in the near future, but for now it's just about time for my reality tv fix.

let me know what you think of my music if you get chance.

and just for the record, Anchorman is another Will Ferrell movie worth watching. Elf is amazing, but Anchorman has got to be one of the funniest films of the decade.

    Aw, Snowthers! :(

I've been thinking of you a lot, and have been wanting to ask you how you're doing and how life is going in Snowthy Land. I hope that, overall, everything is going ok and that you're doing alright.

Even though I never officially met her, I really miss sweet Tommie, too. *big hugs*

I hope that, if you do have a wake for Tommie, it will be exactly the way you want it to be for her. I think it's interesting that you would rather have a wake than a funeral, too. Can I ask why?

I completely understand. I remember when my cat died... my family had her before I was even born so she had been with me for my first 15 years of life. It's one of the hardest things in the world to lose our furry buddies. They're always there for us, even if no one else is. But we will always remember them and the joy they brought to our lives. I just wish that animals lived as long as people do....

Aw, no, please don't feel bad about that. All that matters is that Miss Tommie knew (and knows) how much she was loved (even if she didn't always show her appreciation. ;))

You know that she loved you lots, too. How could she not have. I think she's taught me that bunnies just have their special way of showing it, lol.

I think having a wake for her is a great idea. When do you think you might do it?

I hope that you're doing ok so far. I will be thinking of you and sending you lots more cyber **huggles**

Well, that's kind of what we're trying to do. At least, that's what Beau and I are trying to do - granted, there are still like, two people I'm sure a lot of us would like to make disappear, but we can't bring it back to the way it was without more of the original people. Some of them (i.e. Vic aka Dave) have come back, but we all agree that it feels like the 4077th when Radar left without you there.

Well, I would feel the same way if Oprah died of an overdose of driptivan, although if they wanna carry her funeral, fine, I just don't see why they should carry it on every channel. A day or 2 of coverage is fine for a celebrity death, but anything after that it a little too much.

Yeah, but a week and a half of coverage from EVERY angle, including finding Bubbles the Chimp, and everything is a bit much. Just have a private showing, family and friends, and be done with it. I just think that there is no celebrity that deserves THAT much coverage, including funerals that were covered by every network out there.
