Born in Kanagawa, Japan, Junzo resides in Berkeley, CA. Liberal Berkeley proved to be a defining influence to his music. Junzo started his career in music when he picked up a guitar at age 14, later moving on to a bass guitar, drums and synthesizers. After mostly listening to the likes of Rock, Punk, Funk and Reggae during his teens, he moves to California at age 20 and gets blown away by Hip-Hop culture. In 2006, he acquires his weapon of choice, an Akai MPC1000 and proves to be a natural at beat-making. His expression through Hip-Hop is centered around the rage and contempt towards society, and the strong belief of Hip-Hop music as a medium of change. Currently, Junzo is working on his 1st album “Viral Strike”.
神奈川県出身、カリフォルニア州バークレー在住のトラックメーカー。14歳でギターを手に取り、その後ベース、ドラム、シンセサイザーなど、楽器に囲まれた10代を送る。ロック／ファンク／パンク／レゲエに影響を受けた後、カリフォルニアへ移住した20歳の頃よりヒップホップにのめりこむ。2006年にはAkai MPC1000を用いてビート制作を開始。硬質な音に緊張感のある暗く深いビートを描き出す。Shing02とのライヴやリミックス「Start Again(melatonic remix)」及び「Pearl Harbor Redux」を手掛けるほか、DJ Top BillのミックスCDにも楽曲が収録されるなど注目を集める気鋭。現在1stアルバム『Viral Strike』制作中。
ez. whats going on? So you weren't kidding about the plans to move to London? When do you expect to make it over here? Any particular place you plan on moving too? I presume London? Ayu should be moving back here late January when the next round of visa applications opens up.
