hauling bulls to rodeos, hanging out with friends, taking life easy & spending time with the family
my brother Justin, the old man, and me
My friend Barney Brehmer riding a wild one back in the day... or as he puts it "back when they bucked"
Music
My new favorite right now is Stoney Larue, but I listen to about anything, nothing beats good Texas music - Owen Temple, Pat Green, Roger Craeger.... and the okies Jason Boland and Cross Canadian, and I still jam to the Ben Atkins Band.
Movies
I like funny movies - can't beat Chris Farley and Will Ferrell. I also like true stories like We Are Marshall, Glory Road, Invincible...
About the only thing I watch is the PBR... every once in awhile I also watch Scrubs. I just got hooked on watching The Biggest Loser - that show is crazy.
Books
Not much of a book reader
Heroes
Lane Frost & Red Rock
Jim Shoulders - 16x world champion
Casey Tibbs
Lane Frost on S.O. - Takin' Care of Business... we owned this bull for little while after he retired from the arena. It was a weird feeling feeding him, because he would walk right up to you and eat at your feet.
About me:
I was born and raised in Texas, but now I live in Oklahoma... I love Texas, but these Okies are pretty cool. I've got a fantastic girlfriend - we have a lot of fun together and always laugh.
I spend most of my time raising and hauling bucking bulls... that's my passion in life. I've been involved with it my whole life and I couldn't see myself doing anything else.
In '07, our bull El Presidente, won the 3-year old champion title in the PBR classic system. This year, he followed that up the Year End High Point Classic Bull Champion title.
Check out the slide below for some of the bulls raised on the Hargis Ranch... also check out www.hargisbulls.com
I have a fantastic family that I am extremely grateful for.
Blueberry Wine - the most famous bull we've raised. He was in the top 5 for bull of the year several years and was runner-up bull of the PBR finals twice. High-marked ride of his career was a 96 in Albequerque.
Blueberry vs Ross Coleman
More bulls raised on the Hargis Ranch...
Another bad habit of mine - fighting bulls... This picture is from Pleasanton, Tx
842 Wicked - Naccarato bred bull I bought
Me and the Carillos during the PBR Finals.
El Presidente at Cowtown doing what he does... taking their money!
El Presidente at Hamilton, winning it all
