About me: I was born in Portland and adopted off/raised in Southern Oregon, and only recently moved back up after meeting my birth family. I have a lot of the natural tendencies and oddities of my bio-family, but having been raised in a different place I have different interests and opinions. (I hunt deer, my sister is an herbivore. Thanksgiving can be rather quiet.)
I am also an enormous packrat. Every day on my way home from work I go to the goodwill store by my apartment and rarely don't come home with something. Latest purchase: A talking plastic darth vader helmet. I wear it to formal occasions.
So, stuff about me. I'm mildly autistic. It's not obvious, but it's there. I tend to take statements at face value, and assume others do the same, so I speak plainly. This bothers some people. I tend to be rather quiet until I'm comfortable with the people I'm with. I won't try to talk over people if they interrupt me. If they keep not letting me talk I'll probably wander off.
I like animals. Corgis rule all. I want to have pets when I get a place that allows them. I was raised with 3 cats and 2 dogs, but they slowly died off and now I have none.
I'm not religious. I have a lot of pagan friends and reading about it interests me, but it doesn't ring true deep down. I don't mind what anyone else believes, so long as they don't bother me about what I don't believe. I'm slowly formulating my own idea of how the universe works by observing cause and effect. I don't expect to ever be finished with that, but it's fun and enlightening.
I'm not a huge social person. I prefer to hang out at my apartment and read or talk to friends. I don't do bars or clubs for their own sake, though going to a starbucks and conversing over chais is an awesome way to kill a Saturday. I used to play D&D and only stopped because I moved.
Edit: I moved back last August. City life sucked.
Who I'd like to meet: People who appreciate honesty and will be honest in return, people who live near me or share interests with me.
Woo...this mobile thing is neat XD ..Eh, ahem..Interesting! BUT GET OUTTA MY GOODWILL!! All the stupid useless gizmos, doo-dads and costumey things at Goodwill..ARE MINE!!!!!!!! MINEMINEMINEMINEMINE!!!!! lol..kidding. Well, sorta ;D And ppl that are honest? Gaawd..I'm TOO honest, I can't lie or anything, even when it would be good to. Oh well, yay for blunt, straight-up, spontanious me! I'm gonna go shave a duck now. (and yes, I'm done commenting stuff now X3)
