It all started with a big bang, a few millennia later 4 persons were brought to life. Arjen, Johan, Wytze and Jorieke, respectively. 16 years and 358 days later these persons were brought together after a big quest and the first rehearsal was a fact.
From then on Saturday morning and midday was rehearsal-time and the guys and gal practiced hard in Parkhof for rehearsing. After 2 times of practicing the first song called "Riedeldiedel" was a fact, and the first performance was given at the "openbak" of the "Jan Arentsz".
A few weeks later they thought:" dude, we need a singer" , and after having had 2 singers that didn't quite fit the band, they decided to sing themselves. The first performance was in Castricum and following this a a lot of other places got victim of their ska-violence.
In august 2002 the first demo got recorded for the TV-show Buya and in the autumn vacation the first cd was recorded that was released in January 2003.
A short while after recording the album JCS got to know a rather weird fellar, his name was and still is Maarten and he was and still is one of the singers of the Skatjes. And just because of his weirdness en his singing skills he became the band singer.
After this things were starting to get better and better for
JCS. A lot of gigs where given and in March 2003 they were
on national television for the TV-show Buya.
After that JCS decided to record a new promotion-demo,
cause Maarten wasn't on the last one.
In autumn 2003 it was finished and after a while
they thought: 'Hey let's record a new album'. And so they did.
It only took one whole frepping year till it was finished.
The second half of 2004 things were pretty quiet around JCS .
New songs were written, and after finishing the second album
JCS decided to ''pick it up, pick it up'' again.
But when Johan decided to leave the band for Mark Foggo in 2006 the band decided to continue with Valentijn and only a month later they were back on stage again.
