About me:
....Hey - My name is Jeff Bihlman, but everybody calls me Jabo (jay-bo). Feel free to do so as well. I'm a guitar player, singer, songwriter and founding member of the blues rockers The Bihlman Bros. I'm a geek with no cyberfriends......Go to the Bihlman Bros. page for the rest of the skinny.....Here's a little more about me, myself and I:Jeff “Jabo” Bihlman is the lead guitarist/vocalist for the popular blues rock band, The Bihlman Bros. Jabo is an EMMY Award winning songwriter and composer for his scores of the CBS Documentaries Surviving the Bradley and Edmund Fitzgerald: 30 Years a Legend.
The new Bihlman Bros. CD was recorded at the world famous Cherokee Studios in Hollywood and is slated for release summer '09, to coincide with the May release of the Amy Smart/Billie Zane/Tom Malloy movie "LOVE N DANCING" which the Bros. have 7 songs in. Previous records by the Bros. have been produced by Grammy Award winning Memphis producer Jim Gaines (SRV, Journey, Santana).
The Bihlman Bros. have appeared with BB King, Ray Charles, ZZ Top, Buddy Guy and many others at venues ranging from clubs to stadiums worldwide. Their music has appeared on Radio, Films and TV including NPR’s All Things Considered, and All My Children on ABC.
Jeff is also the author of the book "Easy Soloing for Blues Guitar" which is due out Christmas '09, and the book/DVD series "Play Blues Guitar" published and distributed by Alfred. Also the DVD "Easy Songs with Jeff Bihlman" published and distributed by Workshop Arts. He is on the faculty of The National Guitar Workshop, WorkshopLive and the Interlochen Guitar Institute.
As a hired gun, Jabo has been the guitarist and band leader for the Legendary Chicago Bluesman, Son Seals, touring the US and Europe and appearing on the W.C Handy award winning record “Lettin’ Go”.
