HAUNTED PLACES IN MINNESOTA Before you go on any investigation be sure you are not trespassing on private property. Always get permission before entering private property. Either have the owner with you as an escort or have them sign a contract granting permission. Protect yourself--protect your organization--protect other ghost hunters. What you do reflects on us all. Duluth Glensheen Mansion-Haunted by maid who was murdered there and by the woman who was murdered there too by her own children. Duluth Congdon Mansion - Elisabeth Congdon and her nurse haunt the house they were murdered in. Faribault Shattuck-StMary's School- A dog has been haunting Wipple boys dorm. It has been told to rub it's wet cold nose against the back of people's legs when in the hall getting a drink of water or when you look to the end of the hall there is a dog floating about three feet above the floors. This is because when Whipple burnt down, they rebuilt it about three feet lower than it used to be so the dog is walking on the level it was when it was alive. In the same dorm there has been told that people have seen men in uniform standing in the corner of their rooms. These are the old crack-squad members watching over the new ones. Grey Cloud Island Many strange occurrences have been rumored and reported on this Island. It is a place that is walked by Chief Grey Cloud and something else. Hastings LeDuc Mansion - is rumored to have a ghost of a former resident. Mantorville The old Opera House is haunted by a Ghost, who roams through the Opera House late at Night. No one is sure of the story behind the ghost, but many of come within close encounters of it. It is not something to be messed with. Minneapolis City Hall - the fifth floor is haunted by a man was hung there. Minneapolis Minneapolis College of Art and Design - has a ghost loose. Many students have been woken up in the night, frozen and not able to move, and heard screaming inside their heads. Apparently, some one had been raped and killed in one of the basement apartments at one time. Minneapolis First Avenue Night Club- Staff and customers have seen apparitions and photos revealing orbs have been taken. Minneapolis Guthrie Theatre - The story is that an usher who committed suicide as a teenager haunts the theater. He can be seen in the aisles when the lights in the house are down and there is light shining in from the corridor. Miller Hill Mall There once was a woman that gave birth in the bathroom in the Miller Hill Mall. She flushed it down the toilet, and people have been saying they been hearing sound's of a baby crying in the bathroom. Moorhead Weld Hall, Moorhead State University Campus- Weld Hall is the theater building on the collage. Many years back a worker at the theater fell down the winding metal staircase, in the back of the stage, he broke both of his legs and neck. His ghost has been seen dancing on the stage, without his legs. Stillwater Lumber Barons Hotel & Restaurant A Confederate military man passed away in a drunken stupor on the second floor S.W. suite. His curious sweat odor is heavy in the air. St Paul College of Visual Arts - many instances happen especially the darkroom. The spirit playfully moves objects around and changes the time on the timer. It is said that a wealthy man carpenter whose studio was in the darkroom lived there and was cheating on his wife with the maid. After refusing to leave his wife, the maid hung herself on the main stairwell banister. The late night janitors experience sounds and lights on & off nightly and hear children. One employee saw the man in his flannel. St. Paul Lilly dale Park Sightings of white figures. Many Paranormal activities such as children screaming. It is a place where many suicides, murders, and rapes took place. Get's windy around the Caves. St.Paul City Hall - Every fall the local media does stories on the sightings and haunting. Reports that they seen people in 1920's dress walking into the walls. Sounds and voices at night and once when St. Paul Canines were called to investigate the dogs refused to enter the building past the lobby. St. Paul Caves along the Mississippi Where used to be a Restaurant & Clubhouse on the cliffs of the Mississippi River in St. Paul. It is said that some gangsters used to hang out there, but must have been some murders too after many sightings, the place was closed down. It is still there today, but not opens to the public. They give tours to small groups on Halloween and such. Winona Lourdes Hall-4th floor- The fourth floor used to be an infirmary for the nuns that lived there. Many people died up here and you can still hear many of them walking, crying, or just trying to talk to you. It is rather chilling, especially if you have lived there! Winona St. Mary's University - 4th floor, Heffron Hall there is a ghost of a priest that haunts the dorm.

The Team - Our team’s objective on an investigation is to try to explain what previous witnesses have reported and seen, by trying to capture the reported phenomena using various types of equipment. However, on most investigations it seems that the A.D.P.I team starts out investigating on phenomena and finish trying to explain something completely different that occurred during the night.

Things to Remember: The following are things that you need to remember when going out to look at houses that suppose to be haunted. Most important thing to do is to stay calm inside, not to be excited or scared about what you are doing or what you might see in the house; just complete calmness when inside and nothing else. In addition, even if you feel something from a house just stay calm. This is important because our soul's forces expends instantly during an emotional experience and tend to cover the object of our experience and mix with it, and that should be avoided. This can be noticed during an argument between two people for example. No need for both of them to be angry, just one is enough because the one with the agitated forces will engulf the other person at his energies and make them his, and so with that both of them are angry now. And that can happen only if the other calm person tune himself to what the other irritated person is saying, like by listening to what he's saying , if he doesn't , if he thinks of other things during the argument then he will stay calm and won't be irritated too. Another important condition is not to analyze what you are looking at. Analyzing through thinking here does not help you understand what is going, it will do the opposite, and it will actually damage what you are picking up. So avoid analyzing and do not let the ego get the in the way of your perception. Just let your soul be in front here and put the ego behind, then seeing what impression you get from what you see. Also important is detachment from the object of one's perception. Stay detached separated from what ever you are looking at, do not live in what you are seeing, and keep it outside of you and you outside of it. In addition, always keep a camera with a good working flash with you, and when there is something or you feel something coming from a particular place then what you should do is take pictures with and without the flash from different angles. Take a shot where you are standing then move away a little then take another picture from that angle. The white light from the flash carries all the wavelength of colors that we see and those that we cannot see which are invisible to the naked eye. And in some cases some of the invisible light like infra-red or ultra violet light created by the flash gets reflected by whatever invisible thing your are shooting and that get caught by the camera . So always, keep a camera handy and take pictures from different angles.

What to Expect From an Investigation When we come to your door, you will see cases filled with cameras, video and audio recorders, motion sensors and many other devices for our paranormal Investigation that we will need for documentation of the Investigation. We will be there to determine if the paranormal activity real or if it has a natural explanation. Wright before the investigation begins, a member of our team will conduct you an interview with the owners and any witnesses there will be. They will document the activity that has been experienced and any information at this time. The rest of the team will be taking readings throughout the building or your home to establish all the areas of paranormal activity you have witnessed in the past. When we are done, the team will start stetting up the equipment that we will need . They will set up sensors and video, take photos and do recording (EVPS) , (EMFS) to try to capture the voices and electro-magnetic fields of the spirits. When we are done and all the information collected has been analyzed and discussed, we will determine if there is a need for further research. If there is, we will search local libraries, historical societies and government offices to gather as much information as possible to find whom or what is causing the activity. Our results will be posted on our website while a full detailed report, along with photos and audio clips, will be presented to the owners. If we obtain positive results, we will ask to come back for follow-up investigations in an attempt to duplicate our find. One of the concerns many of our clients have is privacy. We want to assure you that this is also a big concern for us as well. We consider it a privilege to be allowed to investigate your home or business, so we take great care to honor your requests. If you request to keep your name, the name and location of your home or business secret, we will be happy to accommodate you. We will also keep faces hidden and will keep any photos off the website that would give away the location. We can change names and the locations. All of the information we collect is for our research. Stories are posted, but things like phone numbers, addresses and such are never given out. If someone wants to contact you, they will need to go through us. We want to have the opportunity to come back and follow up on any finding we may have got, so we will do whatever it takes to keep you satisfied with our team.

The Edmund Fitzgerald: Fitzgerald left Superior, Wisconsin on the afternoon of November 9, 1975 under Captain Ernest M. McSorley. She was en route to the steel mill on Zug Island, near Detroit, Michigan, with a full cargo of taconite. A second freighter, Arthur M. Anderson, destined for Gary, Indiana out of Two Harbors, Minnesota, joined up with Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald, being the faster ship, took the lead while Anderson trailed not far behind.Crossing Lake Superior at about 13 knots (15 mph, 24 km/h), the boats encountered a massive winter storm, reporting winds in excess of 50 knots (90 km/h) and waves as high as 35 feet (10 m). Because of the storm, the Soo Locks were closed. The freighters altered their courses northward, seeking shelter along the Canadian coast. Later, they would cross to Whitefish Bay and approach the Sault Ste. Marie locks. On the afternoon of November 10, Fitzgerald reported a minor list developing and top-side damage including the loss of radar, but did not indicate a serious problem. She slowed to come within range of receiving Anderson's radar data and for a time Anderson guided the Fitzgerald toward the relative safety of Whitefish Bay. The last communication from the boat came at approximately 19:10 (7:10 PM), when Anderson notified Fitzgerald of being hit by rogue waves or perhaps seiche waves large enough to be caught on radar, that were heading Fitzgerald's way and asked how she was doing. McSorley reported, "We are holding our own." A few minutes later, she suddenly sank – no distress signal was received. A short ten minutes later Anderson could neither raise Fitzgerald nor detect her on radar. At 20:32, Anderson informed the U.S. Coast Guard of their concern for the boat. When Fitzgerald first vanished, it was widely believed the boat had snapped in half on the lake surface owing to storm action. Similar surface breakups in the past suggested bow and stern sections would be found miles apart on the lake floor. When underwater surveys revealed these sections were just yards from each other, it was concluded that Fitzgerald had instead broken upon hitting the lake floor. A Coast Guard investigation postulated that the accident was caused by ineffective hatch closures. These devices were unable to prevent waves from inundating the cargo hold. The flooding occurred gradually and probably imperceptibly throughout the final day, and finally resulted in a fatal loss of buoyancy and stability. As a result, the boat plummeted to the bottom without warning. The Coast Guard report proved controversial. The most common alternative theory contends that inoperative radar forced the crew to rely on inaccurate charts. As a result, Fitzgerald briefly ran aground or scraped a shoal near Caribou Island without the crew being aware of it. Consequently, she received bottom damage, which caused her to gradually take on water until she sank so suddenly in the deep water that none of her crew had time to react. The ship, pile-driving into the lake bottom, snapped in half, and its stern landed upside-down on the bottom. This theory is supported by final radio communications between Anderson and Fitzgerald; Anderson had been struck by two large waves that were heading toward Fitzgerald. If the hull had indeed been breached, it would be difficult to prove. Fitzgerald has settled in mud up to her load marks, making it impossible to inspect for damage. A documentary created and aired by the Discovery Channel investigated a large "fold" found in the hull plating. Previous defects with cargo hold covers and clamps as well as cracking issues were also addressed. Through the use of wave tanks and computer simulation, the Discovery Channel team concluded the loss of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald was due to a freak wave. Reports show three large waves were detected, two of which were reported by the Edmund Fitzgerald. As per the investigation, it was theorized that the SS Edmund Fitzgerald was badly battered by the first two waves, further damaging the dual radar (which shared a common antenna) and the hatch covers. It is surmised that the SS Edmund Fitzgerald took on water through the damaged cargo hold covers and was then overwhelmed by the third wave. The ship's bell was recovered from the wreck on July 4, 1995 and is now in the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum in Whitefish Point near Paradise, Michigan. An anchor from Fitzgerald lost on an earlier trip was recovered from the Detroit River and is on display at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum in Detroit, Michigan. Some other artifacts may be found at the museum that is the Steamship Valley Camp in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. These include Lifeboat #2 (shredded like paper) and some photos, a movie on the Fitz and commemorative models and paintings. The day after the wreck, Mariners' Church in Detroit rang its bell 29 times, once for each life lost. The church continues to hold an annual memorial, which includes reading the names of the crewmen and ringing the church bell. On November 12, 2006, two days after the 31st anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, the church broadened its scope to remember all of the more than 6,000 lives lost on the Great Lakes. In 2006, the bell at Mariners' Church tolled eight times, not the usual 29: five times for the 5 Great Lakes, a sixth time for the St. Clair and Detroit rivers, a seventh for the St. Lawrence Seaway and an eighth time for military personnel whose lives were lost. Although it is the latest vessel lost, and the largest, Fitzgerald is not alone on the bottom. The Great Lakes have a long history of nautical disaster; nearly 6,000 shipwrecks have occurred since 1878, with about a quarter of those being listed as total losses. Some ships and crews simply vanished in storms. A number of diveable marine preserves have been established that contain multiple sunken ships.Every November 10, Split Rock Lighthouse in Silver Bay, Minnesota emits a light in honor of the "Edmund Fitzgerald".

Who I'd like to meet:

(GHOSTS) are the presence of the soul, spirit, or the personality of a person who has died. Rather then pass over, for some reason ghosts has remained on earth. It is thought the person may not be aware they have died, or are a lost soul, or the ghosts may refuse to pass over as they face some sort of hell on the other side due to crimes committed on this side.Ghosts will often take on the look of a misty or semitransparent or fog-like human form. Sometimes Ghosts will make its pretense known through moving objects or noises. Those involved in ghost research believe the ghosts may actually be a form of psychic or mental energy that was left behind. The cities of York and Derby in England are famous for ghost sightings. In cultures that hold a belief in reincarnation, they believe Ghosts are souls that refuse to be "recycled", because they have unfinished business to complete first. The Chinese have some very interesting beliefs on ghosts that include a ghost can become immortal and become a demigod or ghosts can go to hell and suffer for all of eternity. They believe some ghosts kill people to rob them of their rights to reincarnation. Ghosts can die and become a "ghost of ghosts". While most people believe in ghosts there are others that are skeptical. Skeptics claim that often people claim to see ghosts when their senses are impaired, such as when waking from sleep. They also question the motives of others who claim to see ghosts. Sometimes people claim to see Ghosts for money. Protection against Ghosts: It is sad Chalcedony and Obsidian worn on the person will protect against ghosts. Certain metals such as silver are also protective. Also salt carried in your pocket will keep ghosts at bay. Placing an iron rod on a grave will prevent ghosts from rising out of the ground. Placing an iron horseshoe at the entrance to a building will stop ghosts from entering. Iron nails taken from a tomb and nailed into a doorway will prevent nightmares. When a person dies in a home all doors, windows and cupboards should be unlocked so as to allow the ghosts free passage out of the house and avoid any future haunting. Corpses should always be carried out feet first so the ghost of the corpse will not return. During the funeral all furniture in the house must be rearranged so that if the ghost returns it will not recognize the place and leave. Also one must not speak badly of the dead or the ghosts may come and haunt them. The World I Know - Collective Soul
