- Old School Video Games and Consoles. All of them. I hoard them actually... i am receiving treatment, tho it's not really helping. - Athletes In Action: an international para-church ministry that i travel with. - Basketball: playing much more than watching, but watching is good too, unless i'm playing. - Toastmasters International: Great fun, aside from the tacky cult-like attitudes of some long tenured members here and there. Oh well, every group has it's oddities.
Music
In the near future, you and i will have theme music. We will all have theme music. Music that, thru technology like bluetooth and wifi will be dispersed around us. Via cellphones and iPod's people will be picking up our *sound* even before they get a good look at us, recognizing us, or not. In that future, what single tune would you select for your theme music? What sound-byte could possibly represent all of who you are, the complexity and... that oddball sense of humor? Give it some thought, we are almost there.
Movies
In no particular order: Seven Samurai. Usual Suspects. LoTR. Lawrence of Arabia. 12 Monkeys. 13th Warrior. And other movies that i don't recall atm.
Television
I don't have television channels available at home. My TV get's its' use primarily with dvds, PS2 & the old school stuff (Atari, NES etc). I'd change my ways and get cable again IF they make an ALL commercial channel, ALL commercials - ALL the time.
Books
"The Big MOO" just came in the mail. Edited by Seth Godin, it should be good. (heck, it's even got Mark Cuban in it... woot! (and G. Kawasaki for good measure.)
Heroes
Likely some of the people that i would love to meet. Some alive today, others, painfully, have already died.
About me:
Take a moment and visit jaceanderson.com. It is to blogging what MYspace is to awkwardness.
Who I'd like to meet: This is a question that i hear quite often, so forgive me if i seem overly-ready for this one. Given the opportunity, i would love to meet Mark Cuban and
Seth Godin. I'm still holding out for the chance that this happens... Both of these guys are alive and well... all i need is a plane ticket and an elevator speech.
"Hi, Mr. Mark... you don't know me, and um... we'll... Do you like wiffleball? (no, that's not it... darn it)..."
"Seth, i JUST got your book... MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... (must stick to internet stalking of hero's... leaving ego intact.)
i've got a couple dead guys i'd like to meet too, but i'll save that topic for another time. Somehow, MYspace just doesn't seem the place. Not yet anyways.
