DE: Jacek Stam wurde 1952 in Danzig geboren. 1957 erhielt er bereits seinen ersten privaten Klavierunterricht. 1963 belegte er an der Staatlichen Musikschule der 1. Stufe in Danzig das Fach Klavier. Von 1968 an wurde er an der 2. Stufe der Staatlichen Musikschule unterrichtet, dort wurde er in der Fakultät für Orchesterdirigat, Ensembleleitung und Musikerziehung weiter ausgebildet. 1973 studierte er an der St. Moniuszko-Musikakademie in Danzig in der Fakultät IV - Chordirigat, Ensembleleitung, Musikerziehung und Musikwissenschaft. 1977 schloss er, nachdem wegen besonderer Leistungen das Grundstudium verkürzt wurde, seine Studien ab. Bereits 1972 begann Jacek Stam mit seiner Tätigkeit als freiberuflicher Künstler, Pianist, Komponist, Arrangeur und Musiklehrer an den Kulturhäusern in Danzig. Er arbeitete für verschiedene Künstleragenturen, für den polnischen Rundfunk und für das Fernsehen, für das Musik- und Operettentheater in Gdingen, bei den Liedfestspielen in Oppeln, für das Zeichenfilmatelier "SE-MA-FOR", für diverse Militär-Estradenensembles und für das Dramatische Theater in Graudenz.

Klavierkompositionen, dichterische Lieder, Jazz-, Pop-, Kabarett-, Theatermusik, Zeichentrickfilmmusik und Arbeiten für Rundfunk und Fernsehen sind Bestandteil seines musikalischen Schaffens.

1989 siedelte er nach Deutschland über, wo er seitdem an verschiedenen Stellen musikalisch wirkte, so z. B. bei den Kurorchestern in Malente und Bad Rothenfelde.

Seit 1994 unterrichtet er als Musiklehrer Klavier, Keyboard, Akkordeon, Orgel, Gitarre, Harmonielehre, Jazzharmonie und Dirigieren.

Künstlerisch arbeitete er mit dem Solisten Wojtek Skowronski (von 1995 bis 2001) zusammen. Bestehende künstlerische Projekte sind das Duo Eli und Jacek, das Duo "JaZee", Duo mit Sylke Wiegers-Kvasin, Duo mit Achim Becker, Duo mit Andrea Christoph, die Arbeit in und mit dem Digital Studio "Soundfabrik", sowie ProjectStudio-Haltern. Er leitet seit 1995 den MGV "Frohsinn", seit 2006 den MGV "1921" in Haltern am See (seit 2007 als Chovereinigung Haltern am See) und hat die stellvertretende Chorleitung beim MGV "Harmonie 1888" in Essen inne.

2005 eröffnete er in Haltern am See die Private Musikschule Preludio, in der er mit Schülerinnen und Schülern arbeitet. Hinter der fundierten Klavierausbildung, Ausbildung in Harmonielehre, Jazzharmonie, und Gehörbildung mit Brainin-Methode, Orchester- und Chordirigat, steht ein Gesamtkonzept, das auch multimediale Zugänge zur Musik mit einschließt.
