Early years
Guerrido was raised and educated in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After graduating from high school, she moved with her family to the Bronx section of New York City. She went to many auditions and at times landed some roles which required modeling. She debuted in television by modeling clothes and beverages in commercials.
Career
Guerrido was offered a job on a morning radio show called El Vacilon de la Mañana ("Goofing Around in the Morning"), transmitted through "MEGA 97.9", by a producer who heard her doing a voice-over. She soon received an offer from the radio station "Romance 106.7 FM" in Miami, Florida, which she accepted.
Guerrido settled down in Miami and she joined the HBC Radio Company, after working at "Romance" for a year. There she was given the opportunity to co-host a radio program with the duties of broadcasting news and traffic conditions. Eventually, she was given her own music show at Salsa 98.3 FM. She also landed a job in television as a traffic reporter for Telemundo Channel 51, working for both the radio and television at the same time.
Weatherperson
Univision took notice of Guerrido and offered her a job as a weatherperson on the TV show Al Amanacer de Noticias 23 ("Morning News at Channel 23"). She was totally unaware of what her job really required and took a course in meteorology at the University of Florida.
Guerrido is currently the weatherperson for Despierta America ("Wake Up America"), which is one of the most popular television programs among the Hispanic community in the United States, and she has been a weather reporter on Primer Impacto ("First Impact") with Barbara Bermudo. She is a student of journalism at the University of Florida.
In 2004, Guerrido was named the "Good Will Ambassador" of the Puerto Rican Day Parade celebrated in New York City.

Jackie Guerrido nació en Río Piedras, Puerto Rico un 24 de septiembre. Su carrera se inició cuando viajó a la ciudad de la Gran Manzana, al Bronx, buscando hacer realidad sus sueños en el campo de la actuación. Allí estudió Producción de Radio y Televisión en el Manhattan Community College. Asimismo, estudió actuación en el reconocio HB Studios en la zona de The Village en Nueva York. Actualmente cursa estudios de periodismo en la Universidad de Miami, y divide su tiempo con sus clases de meteorología.
Conoce a Jackie
Entre audición y audición, al hacer un "voice over" para una emisora de mayor audiencia, uno de los productores la descubrió y fue entonces cuando comenzó a trabajar en parte de la producción del show mañanero en el Vacilón de la Mañana en la Mega 97.9.
Carrera es ascenso
Al mismo tiempo Jackie Guerrido recibió una oferta desde Miami para trabajar como locutora en la emisora Romance 106.7 FM de la compañía SBS, donde tuvo su propio show por un año. Al año de ser locutora, recibió otra oferta de la compañía radial HBC quien le ofreció ser parte de un show de la mañana donde daba noticias, reporte del tránsito, producción y donde llegó a finalizar con su propio show musical como locutora en Salsa 98.3 FM. En ese entonces, comenzó a trabajar en el Canal 51 de Telemundo dando el reporte del tránsito y segmentos de farándula.
Ingresa al equipo del canal 23
Un año después, Jackie Guerrido recibió una oferta para entrar al Canal 23 de Univision como presentadora del tiempo en el programa Al Amanecer de Noticias 23 y del segmento "A la Moda con el 23". Actualmente, también presenta el tiempo en uno de los mejores programas de la cadena Univision, "Despierta América".
En su tiempo libre, Jackie asiste al gimnasio, practica deportes junto a sus hijos. Entre todas las cosas que hace, saca tiempo para actuar en obras de su iglesia local para servirle y agradecerle a quien tiene el control de su vida, Dios.
