Bio
Jack Mueller is a private guitar teacher at Terry Scott's All String Repair. Jack teaches to beginning and intermediate guitar students. Jack Mueller received private music lessons at age 3 and learned how to read music on piano. Proficiency in note reading led Jack to focus his private and college level studies on the guitar. Jack is currently obtaining a Master's Degree in Secondary Education. He also is and has served as a teacher's aid for several local music teachers. Jack Mueller's music education and teacher education allows him to teach: Lead, Rhythm, and Solo guitar. He has met and performed with local studio musicians at various casinos and independent studios. Jack also met and performed for Creedence Clearwater Revival's Stu Cook along with an Incline Village audience to raise money for the music programs in Incline Village. Jack met jazz guitarist Mimi Fox and attended one of her jazz theory workshops. Lately, Jack Mueller teaches lessons to numerous guitar students and volunteers to help guitar players in the Incline Middle School jazz band. Jack's guitar students are taught to be independent guitarists by learning how to read music. Being able to read music allows students to not rely on others to show them how to play a song, and they do not have to replay songs over and over to learn it by ear. Jack has students study from "Alfred's Basic Guitar Method, Complete" and "Standard of Excellence: Jazz Ensemble Method." The Alfred book focuses on note reading and the Jazz Ensemble books focuses on chord reading. These books are reference material so students can look up information which will help them play songs they are learning or composing. Students choose their own songs to learn. For those who request audio of music, Jack provides recordings from his vast music library which is comprised of numerous genres. A lot of learning and fun occurs as students enhance their guitar skills and musicianship. Lessons cover: -basic music fundamentals. -reading music -proper position/technique -music theory -soloing/improvisation -student's choice of songs All ages are welcome. Styles range from rock, pop, blues, metal, Latin/rock, country/rock, folk, reggae, and hip hop. -
