Influences
basic theoretical principle in the creation of art is Mimesis. The word is Greek and means “imitation” (though in the sense of “re-presentation” rather than of “copying”). Plato and Aristotle spoke of mimesis as the re-presentation of nature. According to Plato, all artistic creation is a form of imitation. Therefore, everything is an imitation of the nature and every work of art is influenced from other. well, we all felt the passion of the bands like deftones, faith no more, glassjaw or the appleseed cast. so maybe you can catch little pinches of mimesis from our songs. enjoy!
Jack in the Box is an independent experimental hardcore act hailing from Izmir/Turkey. The band was formed by Efe in 2004 with different members, eventually they broke up because of personal problems. In the third quarter of 2005 Jack in the Box reformed itself with three new members and created it’s current and permanent roster.
Jack in the Box is about to release a 6 track demo called "hugyourselfandfallasleep" after nearly 2 years of work. External download links will be given after the release.
All songs were recorded and mixed by Ant Balci at Negatif Music Studio/Ucyol-Izmir.

Also, I am trying to get a gig (anywhere) and haven’t been successful yet. If you know of any club near where you live or have connections to one (Especially in Chicago) please help me out. So far I have only been able to perform at a weekly open mic night and it is only 3 songs per time so it’s not like a real showcase, which is something I would like to try to do next.
