Just four friends makin' a joyful noise alwayz on the "FOREVER NEVER ENDIN' WETUMPKA or DIE TOUR"...It all started years ago back in the day... the three McNab Brothers - Al, Tarleton and Brian had been making noise and music since they were lil' bro.'s. By the time they were teen-agers they had formed several high school garage bands. "BARNSTORM", "SMOKESTACK LIGHTNING", "NOTHIN' FANCY", "THE WOOD RATS", "WALL to WALL", "GRAND LARCENY" and the first incarnation of "THE McNAB BROTHERS BAND". During this time their first professional gigs were house parties, frat parties and playin' at the local skating rinks. The skate rink gigs were cool cuz the owner paid up in one dollar bills, so even if it wasn't much money it looked like alot !!!...Also during this period the "McBRO.'S" along with several other local bands pioneered the B.Y.O.B. TABLE DANCES in Mobile. They would rent the various NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY buildings, print up fliers and sometimes even advertise on WABB FM radio, which at that time was a very cool album rock station...AND they would even hire off duty cops for security at the door...NOW KEEP IN MIND these were high school teen-agers putting these whole "bring yer own alcohol" shows...They made pretty good money, had lots of fun and luckily no one ever got hurt....Then during the 80's they tried out some other bands doin' ROCK, PUNK and ACOUSTIC.. "the ACOUSTICATS", "THE CLIENTZ", "THE TRIM", "THE VOODOO POODLES", "THE THUNDERING HERD of TURTLES" and "STRAYT JACKET". "The band "STRAYT JACKET" was a BIG HAIRED TATTOOED SPANDEX WEARIN' ROCK BAND...For about six years they traveled around the country and even did a tour of PUERTO RICO. They also recorded an album in NASHVILLE...When they finally came back to Mobile the McBRO.'s continued on playin'. DURING THIS TIME in the 90's and into the 00's they played with "MUDBONE", "SHOVELHEAD", and yet another version and line up of "STRAYT JACKET" and an acoustic unplugged version of "THE McNAB BROTHER'S BAND". More recently they played for awhile with the blues rock band "the SMOKIN' TOASTERS".....and then back to the unplugged "McBRO.'s" adding a drummer and goin' full band when they could find someone for a gig...OVER the years with some of these bands they were lucky to open some shows for some great NATIONAL ACTS "JIMMY HALL", "WET WILLIE", "the NIGHTHAWKS","THE PRODUCERS", "COWBOY", "SCOTT BOYER & the DECOYS", "MARSHALL TUCKER", "TOY CALDWELL", "FOGHAT", "BLUE OYSTER CULT", "GRAND FUNK RAILROAD" and "DICKY BETTS & GREAT SOUTHERN". And also had the opportunity to meet and jam with "CHUCK LEAVELL" of "the STONES" & "ALLMAN BRO.'S" and "PAUL HORNSBY" of "CAPRICORN RECORDS".... Which finally brings us to the brothers joining forces with veteran ROCK/BLUES drummer BRIAN McDONALD. ... BRIAN has played with many great blues and blues rock bands. "RCB BAND", "the HOODOO BAND", "BREWS BAND", "JR. THOMAS & THE AUTOMATICS", "HARMONICA MIKE & THE DELTA HEAT", "the LUCKY DOGS", "ELMO & the BLUESMEN", "SOUTHERN STYLE", "BLACKSHEEP","the BLUES INJECTORS", "BLUES CRUISE", "FAT KITTY" and "THE SMOKIN' TOASTERS". It was with "THE TOASTERS" that they first played together. Then BRIAN JOINED UP WITH THE McBRO.'S and they formed the band "JackJaw Jimmy"..... Now "JackJaw Jimmy" is complete and they are back to their roots playin' the kind of music that first gave them the music bug...with "Bro. T" and BRIAN McD. lockin' in on the groove and the duel slide and guitar attack from Bro. BRIAN and AL and Bro. BRIAN'S soulful sangin'. "JackJaw Jimmy" is ready to "GET YER JAM ON". !!!!
