.I rarely if ever make pics of copyrighted characters, but i believe that particular myth will endure..Superman is a classic archetype. His story touches all the right buttons. Its really the Moses story in clever disguise. Their stories are almost identical.They were both set adrift by their parents to escape death. Moses in a basket, Kal_El aka Superman was put in a rocket ship. THey were both found and raised by foster parents. Both grew up to perform feats that were beyond the means of mortal men..

this was the first animation i ever made..but as u can see, not only is it distorted, but the colors came out muddy as well..

I once saw a siberian go after a chopper that had flown too close to her den. She climbed a tree...no...She ran up a tree to the furthest branch she could possibly sit on with out losing her footing, and began to take swipes at the chopper with her paw. It was the most defiant act by nature against man that I had ever seen.

Yet, it was the image of this tiger resting in the snow that entered my dreams .

However its only on rare occasions where I will draw a copywrited character. THis is much more sort of thing that I am known to do.

as a guy who grew up in africa, comics were just the things spoken about in whispers and legend because we did not have them. every now and then a pilot friend would bring us some, but it was always kirbys work that inspired dreams of cosmic adventure. So u must know what a thrill it was to be able to do this to honor one of the great unrecognized geniuses of our century.
