I've been living in Portland, Oregon for the past 2 and half years with my girlfriend Marci. At the moment we live with three chickens (Big Edie, Georgette and Penny) in the SE. I like playing music, making art, ping pong and so much more. If you live here and want to try to collaborate in one of these activities let me know.

From the Williamette Weekly
[SINGER-SONGWRITER] It’s never easy to live under the shadow of a well-known sibling, but for Jack Lewis, younger brother of Crass-obsessed NYC crooner Jeffrey Lewis, any direct comparisons are left to the wind the first time he opens his mouth. More Jonathan Richman to his bro's John Darnielle, Jack’s songs feature fewer inside jokes but are just as charming and clever in their own right, full of fake laments (“The Day Neil Young Died”) and quirky come-ons (the indelible “you danced your ass off” refrain from “New Year's Day.”) Amazingly, things never get too tongue-in-cheek, staying sweet throughout—and if you don’t believe it, just, umm, look it up in the OED. MICHAEL MANNHEIMER. 8 pm. Artistery, All ages.
Bearded Magizine put my last album on it's best of 2007 list. Which was nice of them.
A Video for shadow party was just made by Hedi in Germany. (the music is the demo 4 track version)
Jack Lewis met Raphi Gottesman and Jordan Rathkopf at Bard College.
Jack and Jordan had been playing around campus with various drummers.
In late 2000 Jordan had the opportunity to record for his musical engineer class at a professional studio with Bob Bielecki.
They recruited Raphi the most popular drummer at school. Shocked that he agreed to play with them, they started a band called Jackson Barry Stole My Trumpet. The initial recording session was a complete disaster and was never finished. Later, with the assistance of Tyler Drosdeck, they self-produced a demo in Tivoli at Raphis house, Demos for Amsterdam (2001)
After graduating the band went its separate ways. Jack played with various other musicians. Two years later Raphi moved from Columbus Ohio to Brooklyn and became roommates with Jack. They had a reunion show with Jordan. Jordan left for New Zealand to pick apples and Raphi and Jack continue to recruit new members for the band.
Jack has self-released a few compilations of his recordings on CDR (available at OliveJuiceMusic.com) and a 7" on Smoking Gun Records. A full CD is upcoming.
He also plays with his brother jeffrey and the on again off again musical experiment called Guitar Situations.
Raphi records his own original compositions. He recently worked with DJ Egg Foo Young on a remix of the Jandek song, "Your Other Man" forthcoming on Schematic records. He was a member of the band Catch a Fly which released a self titled album on Lifted and Gifted.
