, have just signed to Frontiers Records!!! Check out our latest blog for more info.
As of Fall 2006, Jack Marques is in the studio working on his debut solo cd.
Bio:
His parents came from the island of St. Michael, Azores where he was born. The villa he is from, Brittania, is known as the land of singers so it seems it was always his destiny to sing. Coming from a very musical family, he naturally fell in love with music at a very young age and over time developed a passion for the art of songwriting. As a singer/songwriter spending countless hours in the studio, jM has also developed a sharp ear and understanding of a good production. He has also written and produced music for local artists in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island area and radio as well. Most recently, he was the writer and frontman of the band, Mars Hill, whose debut cd was produced by Stryper frontman, Michael Sweet. jM is finally striking out on his own, bringing with him his experience in writing and performing. With his own unique blend, style and message, jM is an artist that can strike a chord that will resonate with the industry and the hearts of fans everywhere.
History:
Jack has a diversified background in music. He has performed everything from gospel/R&B to, pop, rock and metal.
Jack has written music for and produced many local artists in the Boston and Providence market. Created, produced and maintained the “We Can Make a Difference” radio program and has done spots on The Sam and Wadley show. Jack has produced local acts such as BAC (hip hop), Angela Pettiway, Angela Williams (theatre, gospel, R&B) and Carla Pimental (pop) daughter of Brazilian sensation Carman Silva.
He has performed for many audiences and with many acts. He played percussion for legendary gospel artist, Ron Kenolly and recently toured with Stryper on the eastern leg of their 2003 reunion tour.
