About me:
I have two professions:I'm an othopedic surgeon (bone surgeon), and a hedge fund manager at Merrill Lynch. What a strange combination, huh?!
I have always and still am inspired by the medical field and science. However, ever since I commenced a private practice, I have grown to dislike it. I'm sick and tired of dealing with an insurance administrator (who knows nothing about medicine) dictate what procedure my patients need and don't need; Simply stated, they're practicing medicine without a license! For that matter, I have become thouroughly disgusted and decided that I no longer wish to see patients for a living; rather, I wanted to take on selective challenging surgical cases that are interesting and conduct clinical research trials. That said, I no longer have to worry about establishing a particular daily volume of patients so that I may lead a comfortable lifestyle. Setting that record straight, I can now see patients for the love of humanity.
My affair with becoming a hedge fund manager is quite of a story. My personal broker at Merrill Lynch from 1997 to 2001, took notice of my annual returns-- which were in access average of 38%. He encouraged me to get professionally licensed and introduced me to several trading desk managers. And ever since, trading has been a "labor of love". I strictly trade the market (technician)... I have been rather successful, and for that matter, I decided to go into managing private capital.
I invite sound and intelligent correspondence from anyone.

Who I'd like to meet:
Those who have depth to their personalities; those that love and live life to the fullest. Bare in mind, "It is essential that we acquire a lively feeling for human values, otherwise we more closely resemble a well- trained dog than a harmoniously developed person."-- Albert Einstein.
