Jack salt began his wild career in 2004. After years of playing guitar and singing in various punk/indie bands, he laid down his instrument. Then, he discovered the wonderful world of traditional music, in particular drinking songs, sea songs and chanteys, and general rowdy roustabout songs. Not content to sit back and strum a lute while humming a mournful tune, Jack generally speeds things up to bring a rock sensibility to his old songs. Pints of rum and porter MIGHT just help him do this.
He has been performing since 2005 in various incarnations and with his regular collaborations- The Wild Geese and with Kitty, the Captains Daughter- and is a regular performer at the Kentucky Highland Renaissance Faire.
It was lovely to see you yesterday, to talk and to listen to your performance! I will have to come to the store to check out your teas. See you again soon!
Any chance ye'd come and join us for a song or two?
