Jack's Cellar brings an abundance of influences to the musical buffet table. Vocally you'll hear echoes of performers like Kim Wilson, Otis Redding and Toni Price... even maybe some Johnny Cash. The rhythm section holds down the backbeat with flavors of old Stax Records, jazz and the strength of classic 60's and 70's power trios. Guitar work gives musical kudos to Dikey Betts and the Vaughn Bros., intermingling with all of this to create a sound that is both unique and memory tickling, paying homage to the old blues and juke joint sounds of the South.
Sounds Like
Heavy blues band with a folk and rock n' roll influence. Thoughtful guitar work backed by a solid rhythm section topped off with powerhouse and soulful vocals.
Funny how fate brings folks together. With well over twenty years combined, live performances, Rich and Jenny Robben on vocals, John Tuck and Todd Zewe on guitar, Tad Komaromi on bass and Paul Gingrich on drums, bring a fresh energy to the stage. Throughout the Midwest, including Kansas City and St. Louis, Rich continues to belt out the blues while engaging his audiences with soulful reverence for his craft. Diversity is key to this band, bringing together blues, rock, country blues, alternative and even gospel styles. Jack’s Cellar is home to blues enthusiasts, connecting as friends and creating an infectious chemistry not to be missed!!
Ya! Thank you so much! Yes I will be there Thursday night because we are no longer at the hospital and Dylan was in such a good mood today and had a lot of energy that we went to the arcade today.
Hey guys, I am thrilled that you liked the photos from the Pitcher's show! I'm proud to have you use them, and if I can ever be of further service let me know!! See you guys soon!
OMG - You are going to have to start checking with me before you book shows - I just came in to check when the next gig is and...BACHELORETTE PARTY! AHHHH!!! Seriously...I am so disappointed!
On the flip side: did you know Tab Benoit is coming to Columbia for a free show on Wednesday the 25th? (which also happens to be my BIRTHDAY!) I'll so be there! ;)
I'M LOOKING!!!!! lol The bulletins, however, are right below the friend updates, which if you look to the top right of each section (like friend statuses and updates) there are arrows so that you can collapse them and not have to be annoyed at people updating them every ten seconds :]
Great show last night. I took a girl who had never heard blues before. So i gave her a brief history starting with W C Handy, then your show was perfect. Several styles of blues. Rock songs given some blues stylings, she is now into the blues
