About me:

Husband of one. Father of two. Author/writer, primarily of fantasy fiction, but I'm not one to turn my nose up at a good idea. Last spring I earned my first publishing credit with my short story "Cry of the Banshee" in the first annual Word Weavers fantasy anthology, "Tome of Distant Realms." I'm currently working on a fantasy novel that takes place in the same world and with some of the same characters, but which takes place years later. If I ever get a handle on my busy schedule, I may even be able to finish it. I'm currently finishing up my retelling of Hansel and Gretel entitled "Mrs. Culling's Reformatorium for Wayward Children" for submission to a fairy tale anthology that is being put together by Liz DeJesus and Jenna Miller of Word Weavers. Keep an eye on my blog for stories, videos, updates and, well, just general day-to-day stuff.

Have a happy Easter weekend! Since the weather has gone from winter straight to summer, I KNOW Firewing is going to want to have a cookout - he loves roasted marshmallows so Peeps flambe for the dragon!

Thanks, J! Don't know why, but the image I have right now (and am over-enjoying right now) is of sitting across from Cullen saying, "What I'm really trying to tell you is ... I'm gay!" and him raising an eyebrow in one hellacious arch and raising his sword. And the bird squawking loudy, o' course.

I do really appreciate the support from everyone. I, like you, think public comings-out are unnecessary spectacles that hopefully our culture's going to wean from shortly. When it "broke" not long ago that Jodie Foster's gay, I had a lot of respect for her for managing to make it a nonissue for years (and for, apparently, staying with one partner for many years in an alacric Hollywood feat). I don't think it should be an issue. Now, everything on Earth is an issue for me and will end up a picked-over pile of bones at the end of my blog, but, ya know.

Quit fooling around reading blogs. Go write some more Peacemaker.
    =)

God! I was thinking the same thing! Well, you'll have to bring the family again and we'll get a whole album full the next time.

Damn "real life". It should take a clue from how much we try to ignore it, take a hike, let us all get on with the writing. I would love to weigh in with an opinion on the work! Am currently working up the chutzpah to tackle my to-read list and latching onto my new neighbor's wireless connections with the wind and tides and gods of chaos allow. I'm definitely looking forward to reading your new stuff.

Why thank you, J. And thank you for your last comment that bears a thoughtfelt reply. And thank you for posting, if I'm not mistaken, another Peacemaker installment. I am currently sans internet other than the kind grifted from work, and if this isn't remedied so I can catch up with my reading by tomorrow night, you will see on the news that North Carolina is in chunks drifting across the ocean.
