listening to music; playing music; making people laugh; reading; writing; movies; art; culture; searching for truth, happiness, and slack; sarcasm; photography; being easily amused; nature; science; spirituality; getting lost in thought; all kinds of animals; good conversation; randomness, especially random weirdness; giant squid; noticing the world around me (and usually making fun of it) and getting old songs stuck in your head.

Heroes
Not heroes, but still had an influence on me: Panthro from Thundercats, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Frank Zappa, Kurt Vonnegut, Frank Black, Mike Doughty, Hunter S. Thompson, Eddie Izzard, Johnny Depp, Tom Waits, most teachers i had in school, this list could go on a very long time...
About me: I’m starting to realize that I am a person made of dichotomies and my life is about keeping them more or less balanced.
I’m an optimist and idealist but I can also be really sarcastic. I love making people laugh and I’m told I’m very outgoing, but I don’t actually go out much. I am very deeply spiritual but not even remotely religious. I consider myself extremely open minded and love hearing and discussing new ideas but I’m also inexorably stubborn. I grow orchids and other flowers, but I love watching ultimate fighting, football, basketball, soccer and most other sports. Knowledge and learning are extremely important to me, but I’ve yet to graduate from college (which is not something I’m proud of in the least and hopefully will change soon)
All in all I’m pretty laid back. I love music in all its forms and most of the arts in general. I’m always looking for new books to read and movies to see. I am a connoisseur of useless knowledge and trivia. I like almost all animals, but I’m primarily a cat person. When I’m writing informally I don’t capitalize the first word of sentences because that’s what a period is for; if you can’t tell it’s a new sentence you aren’t paying attention. I also don’t capitalize “i” because i’m not a proper noun; never have been, probably never will be.
Who I'd like to meet: “It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.”
~ Aristotle
i want to meet people i can debate with without fighting. anyone who understands the importance of laughter. people who are honest with themselves and everyone else. creative people who can hold interesting conversations. those who love music, writing, photography, art or any other form of expression. folks with a solid understanding of sarcasm who don't offend easily. people i can learn from or with. anyone who can suggest new bands, books, artists or movies i should be aware of.
PLEASE NOTE: i don't just add random people; if you want to be my friend and i don't know you, drop me a line and tell me why.

thanks Justin! I'm really thinking about going for a minor in photojournalism. I'm really getting into this and it would go well with my major. Besides, it would just be sweet to have the skills :)
Hey, I just checked my myspace. Thanks for the Happy Mother's day comment yesterday and the box of chocolates from the islands. They're yummy! :) Hope ya had a wonderful time on vacation. Can't wait to hear all about it! Remind me when I get back to work to tell you the whole story about the $12.00 box of junk transformers we bought at a gagrage sale.
