Hi,
I'm Jack Westmore, a composer form Wales in the UK.
I write music in a range of styles and have done for many years. In 2006 I won the Young Composer of Dyfed Competition with my String Quartet Roha. I subsequently received my first commission to write a piece for Lee Mottram, the Young Musician of Dyfed 2006. This piece 'Kinetic', was first performed at the St. David's Festival later that year.
In 2007 I graduated from the University of Sussex with a BA in Music, having studied with Sam Hayden, Ed Hughes, and Martin Butler.
So far 2008 had seen the premier of 2 new works. 'STAMVFA(s)' for Voice and Computer, first performed by Frances Lynch, and 'Piece for Harp' first performed by Catrin Finch.

hmmm, was gonna have a gap year but I've now decided I'm going to go with the crowd and go to Carmarthen Jobswell to do an Art Foundation course... I'm slackng way too much with 'education' at the mo...

Ahh never been a fan of house or electronica, if you want to listen to any of the absolute crap me arwyn and cal have come up with check out lying season, thats our band name, go to my site, and it's the first one on my friends list. i'm liking the nine inch nails remix though.

Ahhh just something cal thought of as a 'stage name' so I thought may as well use it on myspace. Arwyn is known as Armen Insane!? and cal is known as TestiCal. I see the music is coming along nicely, what happened to rock and roll Jack?
