Jacob Gehret writes songs that he thinks are good, and then he plays them for people who will hopefully also think they are good. Nothing more, and certainly nothing less.
Born in Illinois and a one-time resident of the St. Louis area, Jacob moved to Nashville, TN and then Chicago, IL to continue writing and playing songs that are both meaningful and soulful.
Hey! I was at the Journey tonight, you did a really, really good job leading worship. I was going to say something, because I was at Starlite's CD release show this summer and saw you play there. Just an interesting and strange coincidence.
Jake the new song is fantastic...I mean really really good. I wrote one about two days ago with the EXACT same chords and walk up capoed up about the same and at about the same tempo...weird. Yours is WAY better though. I miss you Jake, we were always on the same plane, Murfreesboro is much lonelier without you. The recording of Wont Remember Me is great. Love the organ and strings; tasteful and tasty at the same time.
