Jacob Longoria first played the drums at age 11, when he began percussion and jazz studies. He continued drumming through his high school years, where he added orchestral and marching studies to his repertoire. In 1993, Jacob participated in Sky Ryders Drum and Bugle Corps, and in 1994, he was chosen for the Texas Lions’ Club all-state band. From 1996-98, Jacob attended The University of Texas-San Antonio as a Music Major in Percussion Studies. For several years after that, Jacob pursued a successful restaurant management career. But his love for playing the drums never left him, and in 2004, he began to follow his passion once again. Only three years after buying his first drum set, Jacob became the resident drummer at Rockbox Theater, a professional live music venue in Fredericksburg, Texas. Besides his full-time gig at Rockbox Theater, Jacob currently teaches drum lessons and freelances as a musician for both live and studio performances.
