“Jacob’s Son music is powerful, passionate and explosive. Picture a Deftones train crashing into a Pearl Jam train and the carnage is something unique, beautiful and all its own. They combine their powerful music with an equally expressive live performance…”

Featuring elements of ART ROCK, GRUNGE, and ROOTS ROCK, Jacob’s Son has proven to be one of the brightest acts in New England. This unique blend of west coast grooves and east coast dynamics has given them a sound that is entirely theirs alone.
What began in a basement in Astoria, NY with an acoustic guitar and a tape deck… has evolved into a four-piece alternative rock band that bursts with passion, dynamics, ingenuity, and a high level of musicianship.
Brothers Michael and Greg long held a vision of what their music would be like with the right players. Once they made the decision to create their vision, it didn't take long for things to fall into place. In August of 2005, Tony and Nick joined the project that would soon become Jacob’s Son. The four quickly began writing new material and the train hasn’t stopped rolling since. Their live set has been described as embodying the energy of punk rock while still possessing the power and grace of a movie score.
With the release of the ‘Root Fire’ single in 2005 and their latest EP ‘Goodbye to Reason’ in 2008, Jacob’s Son set to travel to new territory in a quest to spread their music to the masses.
The band is currently writing material for a second EP, to be released in 2010.
Ok fellas... Summer is fastly approaching and I *still* don't see any prospective show dates up on your site! When am I going to have the pleasure of rockin' out with you boys again?
You guys have accomplished a LOT...as another New England/NYC band we hope to do the same. Check out our first couple songs to find out why we are banned in China if you get a chance...but it's for a really good reason.
