Jac was barely 9 years old when she first saw a trombone and upon hearing the sound, she decided that there was really nothing else that sounded as great as that. She spent the next 10 years being completely obsessed about it and acquired her music training from school bands, piano lessons and a very jealous guitar.
Upon leaving school, Jac spent her years working and playing with several wind bands and indie rock bands. But all that changed when a friend introduced her to Velvet Underground and Nick Drake..along the lines of rock n roll and folk, she found her way to blues. She spent a few years bartending at the infamous Crazy Elephant Bar where she jammed frequently with the blues artists, learning the art of soulful blues!
Since then, Jac has performed with various various local bands and local events such as Baybeats, Mosaic Music Festival and more recently the Live Earth Fringe 2007. She has also performed in Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne, Australia where she plays with a most wonderful guitarist, Michael Tregonning, along with the enchanting vocals of Annika Lindberg. Jac also played various shows with the Curtis King Band in Singpaore and in Vietnam.
Jac has been most fortunate to have played with great musicians such as her pals: Wendy Phua, Randolph Arriola, Benson Hi-tone, John Chee of Crazy Elephant, Rick Smith, Dave D'aranjo. And many many more....!
Right now, Jac is still very much in love with blues and dabbling in a dub of jazz..where re-invention is currently the key word.
