Art… photography, painting, drawing, seeing, creating, feeling inspired, starting a piece of art, and also, finishing a piece of art after fighting through that entire awkward in-between time..........
music that touches my soul, and those who create from it........
my cats and the funny little noises they make when surprised. cats in windows, and cats in the light of a window’s shadow. my cats in buckets, bags, and boxes.
nature, streams, the ocean, the star-filled night sky, the rich colors of sundown, rain when it’s sunny, wind when it’s warm, snow when it’s not, wildflowers, hills, the country, and long drives through it with dead gnarly trees and dilapidated farmhouses..... azure skies in the morning, sky water during the day, and at dusk, a black-cloud sky with the sun breaking through, illuminating everything breathtakingly vivid, and maybe a rainbow appears. And when a rainbow appears momentarily for no reason at all.
irony and juxtoposition;
synchronicity and 11:11.
wine, white wine with fruit and cheese, red wine with anything, but with dark chocolate is ahhhh, ,gelato, dining rituals, uncorking a wine bottle, pouring hot water over tea, sharing a dessert, the use of a nutcracker, the use of chopsticks, foods that are dipped, drinks that are sipped.....
nature’s delicate things
human nature, psychology, personality tests, handwriting analysis, psychics, psychopaths, the supernatural and the unexplained miracles, symbols, people that inspire. people that make me think, wonder, question, and improve – nourish. And smile. making someone smile, a shy smile, a touched smile, shared eye contact during a smile, and the fact that these smiles look the same in all languages.........
the smell of coffee, incense, crayons, playdo, orange blossoms, and familiar places and people, the smell of the desert after a rain.
blackbirds, and black birds in general, birds in general, furry things in general, most living things, in general.......
candle flames, camp fires, fire dancers, fire, in general – not a pyro, just a fire dragon by the zodiac, air sign by astrology, love being in the air, traveling by air, I want to be a bird...........
baths, the perfect warmth, the grip of Epsom salt, candlelight, lying down after I get out and feeling the beat of my pulse in strange places...........
old houses, old shops with old things, abandoned buildings, books, art supplies, letters and handmade cards, my controlled narcolepsy, French words and foreign accents, clothes that flow, planting things and finding earthworms, moss, the sounds of nature, the sound of a distant train...........
that scene in Amelie where she introduces people by likes and dislikes.

“ Without music life would be a mistake.” ~ Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche---------------------------------------
I love discovering new music and at the same time sometimes feel overwhelmed that I’ll never be able to take it all in. One of my favorite movies describes the feeling best. “Sometimes there’s so much beauty in the world I fee like I can’t take it, like my heart’s going to cave in.” ~from “American Beauty”----------------
I am most drawn to musicians that reflect and enlighten my within:
“Music takes us out of the actual and whispers to us dim secrets that startle our wonder as to who we are, and for what, whence, and whereto.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson---------------------
while making me feel this:
“Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life.” ~Ludwig van Beethoven----------------
My favorites have also created this:
”Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit, and never dies.” ~Edward George Bulwer-Lytton-------------------------------
I like beautiful music, often melancholy, but always feeling, powerful, yet gentle - the kind that rises and falls as naturally as breath, a heartbeat, or an orgasm. But I love happy music too - the kind that you can’t help but to smile or move, and if it still contains a poignancy, it’s probably one of my favorite songs. I have BIG indie folk love lately, and am discovering some of the old. I like music I can’t label. I love harmonies, especially male/female. I love pretty instrumental music - Celtic, tribal, classical baroque, strings, the music in nature – birds, wind and rain, and chanting to the backdrop of ethereal techno. And French music too, but I really, really love those Icelanders. I love complexity, but am most moved by simplicity. One voice/one piano. Rawness. The creative musical use of one’s own voice and body as percussion. I’m also really impressed by the incorporation of every day household items into music (melodically of course!). And gypsies. I love gypsies! I also have a soft spot for 80s new wave and also the early 90s when I declared my musical tastes as “goth pop”. I also love these people below which is actually a select list, but one that I hope to add onto until infinity.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There are an embarrassing number of books that I should have read, but somehow missed. I just read “The Catcher in the Rye” for the first time this year. I also have a big pile of books courtesy of Amazon’s “one-click ship” that I mostly just fantasize about reading. I have books years old that I still want to read. This is a far worse situation than music. But I look at them and they comfort me nonetheless. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I generally like historical novels if I had to pick a genre, as I can pack knowledge and entertainment all in one! But it’s been awhile since I’ve read one of those. For the last four years I’ve been wanting to read “The Mists of Avalon”, but I also wanted to read “Atlas Shrugged” for five years before I read it, so perhaps “Mists” will get its chance next year. A couple other books I’ve put off reading for far too long include “An Incomplete Education” (I need to make up for all the sleep during history classes) and “The Book of Secrets” (because I want to know the secrets and Deepak has ‘em!). Also more recently, while looking for food ironically, I happened upon “French Women Don’t Get Fat” for $2. I can’t pronounce most of the dishes, but they use a lot of chocolate, fruit and wine, so I think it may have to come out soon.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few books I have actually read (and that have impacted me) include “Conscious Femininity, Interviews with Marion Woodman”—-“Bart Baggett’s Handwriting Analysis”—-“Radical Dreaming” , John Goldhammer -– A Woman Speaks: The Lectures, Seminars And Interviews of Anais Nin--“Tao of Photography”, Philippe Gross & S.I. Shapiro—“Observing the Labyrinth from Heaven”, Hollace Metzger—“The Letters of Vincent van Gogh”—“The Hidden Messages in Water”, Masaru Emoto—“The DaVinci Code”, Dan Brown—-“Atlas Shrugged” , Ayn Rand - And also “Watership Down” by Richard Adams, that while it may not have” impacted” me so much, it remains dear to my heart.

Those who live true to their authentic and creative nature
Hakkımda: I was born May 21st, 1976 in Phoenix, Arizona where I lived the first 29 1/2 years of my life dodging danger among the cacti, whilst escaping scorpions and rattlesnakes in an always-on outdoor oven. Upon a work-related four-day visit to Portland, Oregon, I decided this needed to be my new home. Within three months, I sold my house, and drove one-thousand three-hundred fifty-three point three seven miles with my five cats and nine fish to where I have been happy ever since, frolicking amongst mossy trees while befriending robins and squirrels, in an always-on outdoor shower. And sometimes I like to make art using mostly my left hand.

On June 18th, a one-year old Pit Bull Mix named Oreo was thrown off a 6th floor Brooklyn roof top by 19-year old Fabian Henderson. Oreo sustained two broken legs and a fractured rib in the horrific incident.
Animals that suffer cruelty at the hands of their owners often face tragedy beyond that which they have already endured. Animals like Oreo are abused every day. These cases often don't make headlines; in fact, most people don't even know this abuse is quietly occurring in their backyard. But this abuse is all too frequent, and despite more rigorous efforts by law enforcement across the country, shows little sign of completely abating.
Sometimes they retaliate from their abuse in the only way they know how: aggression. While Oreo's plight has garnered a plethora of media attention due to the sensational nature of her injuries, Oreo was euthenazied today at the ASPCA headquarters in New York because she was considered to be a danger to society.
SHE is the world's most successful "plus-size" model, but Crystal Renn has revealed she nearly died of anorexia when pressured to lose nearly half her body weight to succeed in the cut-throat industry.
In her new book HUNGRY 23-year-old Renn chronicles the heart palpitations, excessive water retention, clumps of hair that would fall out and loss of her menstrual cycle, all problems she was faced with in the struggle to slim down to the unrealistic sample sizes synonymous to the high fashion world.
And interestingly, plus-sized models are apparently even treated better on the job. "People actually want to work with us because we’re happy, our individuality is prized. Before I was just another straight-faced lemming, we all looked the same," she said.
Hello, It's always a pleasure to contact my friends, first thanks for your friendship and hope all is well. if you have time, there are some new videos on my page. Life is beautiful. All the best - Pat.
